What is with Trump's limp dick vaccination recommendation? If he really meant it he'd be calling unvaccinated people losers and idiots.

He got silence at best and boos at worst. Pretty straight forward

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I feel so sick blaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

That means it's working!

Also, Taibbi is on that Jimmy Dore/Glenn Greenwald/Max Blumenthal side of things now where he gravitates towards anything counter to American policy or messaging. He's really been pilled by the single stance of "Because America = bad; anything against America = good" that many of those other dudes have. That's how he's into this ivermectin thing. He questions the "official line."

God I hate conspiracy-brain...

B.C. announces new COVID-19 vaccine card that will be required for wide range of public activities | CBC News

Quote

The B.C. government has announced a plan to require proof of COVID-19 vaccination for anyone who wants to attend a concert, sports game, movie, restaurant, nightclub, casino or fitness class.

The new "B.C. vaccine cards" will be implemented Sept. 13, Premier John Horgan and Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry told reporters on Monday.

"Getting vaccinated is the way forward through this pandemic," Horgan said.

Initially, eligible British Columbians will require proof of one dose of vaccine. By Oct. 24, two doses will be required. The cards will be required for a wide range of non-essential recreational and social activities.

....

The new vaccine card will be available online for use on a smart phone, but for those who can't access proof of vaccination digitally, the province says a "secure alternative option" will be available. Horgan said efforts are underway to make sure the cards can't be forged or hacked.

The full list of activities covered by the new rules includes:

  • indoor ticketed sporting events
  • indoor concerts
  • indoor theatre/dance/symphony events
  • restaurants (indoor and patio dining)
  • night clubs
  • casinos
  • movie theatres
  • fitness centres/gyms (excluding youth recreational sport)
  • businesses offering indoor high-intensity group exercise activities
  • organized indoor events (eg. weddings, parties, conferences, meetings, workshops)
  • discretionary organized indoor group recreational classes and activities
  • student housing on college and university campuses

This is the way.

So my wife's school had a small but loud group of "adults" yelling at students and teachers that decided to wear masks that they were going to hell for doing so. Not a bad first day of school. Police said nothing could be done as they filed the paperwork to gather and where not on school property. Good times in rural Nevada. I mean kudos to them for committing to the cause when this morning's air quality was in the hazardous range.

Also some good news. My son qualifies for getting his 3rd dose this week as he works in a hospital setting with elderly. He just got a call while he was on lunch and they told him that.

I'm theoretically going to Vancouver in January, situation permitting. I wonder how they'll handle this for people from outside Canada (and BC? is it a national database or per-province?).

You will need to show your passport and the proof of vaccination you used to enter the country.

Have fun!

My hide was extremely chapped today...

My wife's friend from Oregon has a husband who joined the Army last year.  He joined, in part, to support his wife and their children.  Today, she posted on facebook she needed prayers for the next step in her life.  So my wife inquired what it was about, and it's because he intends to refuse the vaccine that the DoD has mandated for all members of the military.  W. T. F.

He understands that he'll be discharged for this.  But I'm not sure they've calculated what it will ultimately cost them in terms of benefits (like free healthcare) and guaranteed income.  He's a medic, so I guess good luck trying to find a job in the medical field that will not require the vaccine.  They just bought a $40k car too.

The cognitive dissonance is amazing.  Just last year, he allowed the military to slam the better part of a dozen different vaccines into his body that I doubt he read up on and understood the risks of.  And he's taking a stand on this one?  One that will protect him and other around him?

My oldest turns 12 on Friday and we’re getting him vaxxed this weekend. May have to push it to early next week so he doesn’t have side effects during his hockey tryouts… but very soon! He’s excited.

it’s crazy how easy it is to set it up. No one will let me schedule it after his birthday, they want him to be 12 before you set the date… but it doesn’t matter, there are literally hundreds of open slots available every day. No one has any excuse. It’s so flipping easy. It’s a crazy contrast to how hard I had to search and the hoops I had to jump through to be on the leading edge of getting the shots.
