Joe Biden beats Donald Trump, officially making Trump a one-term twice impeached, twice popular-vote losing president

The idea that because the Republicans weren't massacred that they'd get rid of Trump doesn't seem to be holding true 100%. I mean, definitely Santorum and Christie haven't stood firmly by him on the fake news Trump's talking about, and Bush/Romney/Mukowski have congratulated Biden, but Senators like Graham and Cruz continue to be weirdos.

I still don't understand Graham.

He needs a Papi

One thing is for sure, with eyes like that, we'll never catch this woman running through a 24 super market a 2am stabbing people with a cucumber while yelling "Don't buy the orange juice, they've poisoned it!" :daydream:

I bet she does meth with Palin.

Ben Carson has Covid. This got me thinking about concession and transfer of power. Should Trump concede, I don't want the pomp and circumstance/ceremony of the transfer of power. I don't want Biden or his team walking around the White House full of infected chuds who'd be more than happy to infect him on purpose.

I've been thinking about Biden's inauguration. Personally, I think the most powerful message he could send would be by not have it be public. Have it held in the Supreme Court or White House (or Congress, whatever) and livestream/televise it. Have everyone wear masks, and have only John Roberts there along with Biden and Harris' families. Send a message that he is effectively a wartime president (with the virus) and that pomp and circumstance don't matter at all, he is 100% about getting to work.

He's compromised, that's all.

You know what?

You guys are all so happy and gloating, but you never stop to think about how this affects other people.

I was like you at first, but then I realized what a Trump loss and a Biden presidency truly means.

....

Mike Pence is moving back to Indiana!

Why do you think Indiana went red? Better there than here

That's the only thing that makes sense here. Trump can still damage his political career and he assumes that Trump will be readily available for interviews by anyone within shouting distance.

Yep. Trump is gonna be the republican party until he dies, and then still afterwards. They had a cult of reagan for 25 years until trump came along! What makes anyone think this will be any different?!?

Reagan had a cult but I think Trump has some borderline one-step-away-from-suicide-bombing levels of zealotry shit behind him. Quite literally nothing phases these people. My mother suffers from this vile infection and is currently attending demonstrations and posting memes of Trump laughing at Biden with '4 MORE YEARS'. Several years ago we used to mock the shit out of Trump collectively in our family chat and well, here we are. I have no idea how the fuck they pulled this stunt on people's minds but from personal experience, it just rotted their sense of reality right out of their skulls. From what I can tell, Trump WILL be president according to many of his followers. I don't even know what it'd take for people to drop this insanity.

The thing is, it was bound to get to this point. Because nothing phased them on Reagan, either. You can tell them he raised taxes a dozen times, and they don't believe it or don't care. Tell them he actually created the first czar, and they either don't believe it or go, "BUT THAT'S A DRUG CZAR AND I DONT WANT YOU DRIVING HIGH WHILE LISTENING TO GREEN DAY"

I have compared Trumpism to pro wrestling before.

What everyone, including the GOP, needs to understand is that Trump is Hulk Hogan.

He will never "pass the torch" because he has no conception of the idea that "his time has passed".

He could be 85 on his 6th heart attack and still look around and genuinely think he was the best guy for the job.

Man, that means if Biden lost in a landslide, he could have been overselling like Shawn Michaels.
