NYs number is concerning, since it was the largest outbreak with the most cases/deaths and even had Cuomo forcing nursing homes to accept patients from the hospital, yet their share of LTC facilities deaths is very low

Can't talk for the rest of the states facilities, but my wifes Grandmother's facility closed to all visitors no one is allowed to go there except in end of life situations and only 1 family member at all can go, so far no one at the facility has gotten the virus.

Temperature checks are security theater, but we all know this isn't going to be paired with mandatory mask usage, so...

Temperature checks are good for quickly finding symptomatic carriers that are trying to work while sick.

"No, no I'm fine, it's just allergies"

Pretty much. Since Americans don't get guaranteed sick time, they work while sick. They'll also work while sick even if they do have paid sick time because our culture just sucks like that.

And since working in the white house has been generally considered a prestigious job, you wouldn't want to not work unless you absolutely have to not work

One of my coworkers, who initially refused to get tested after exposure, came to work days later with all the classic symptoms: fever, sore throat, headache, no taste or smell. Even still, she tried to resist getting tested and didn't want to leave. She wasn't given an option and sure enough, she's positive and has been out for three weeks now.

May be something to do with it, she's a devoted Trump fan and went to the casino the weekend prior to getting sick(after she was exposed and refused to be tested at first). She said it wouldn't matter if she tested positive. Uhhhh?

There haven’t been any new confirmed cases at my facility in the last couple weeks, but I wonder if they’re just following Trumps lead and not really testing much any more. I’ve been really alert to any possible symptoms I might have, and as soon as I feel any, I’m going to call in and ask to get tested. Out of concern for my coworkers, sure, but really I could use any excuse for some paid time off now.

That's what happens when you combine the crazy American work culture and a literal virus that has killed more than 100,000 people in only a few short months and has become a partisan issue.

Huh, that's funny. Michigan is pretty below average here. If you listen to conservatives here it's all "hurr derp de derp nursing homes blah blahh Whitler is a mass murderer herpy derpy." Turns out, once again, they're just fucking wrong on everything.

Similar to PA and all the conservatives are calling for Wolf to be impeached.
