Anathema- Posted August 19, 2020 Share Posted August 19, 2020 I was getting all revved up to gripe about Sanders not awarding the nomination by acclimation but I agree that the format where all the delegations actually cast their votes (like in 2016) was really cool and this time around it's even better. One thing I think has been missing from democratic coalition politics is a real feeling of being seen for people outside of the larger forces in the party. Winning the midwest isn't about factories anymore, factories were the shortcut to midwest identity and now that those are gone that shortcut is gone too.
