I wasn’t generally attracted to brown Latin women prior to when my wife and I dated, but I think my fondness of Latin culture expanded greatly due to our marriage and I definitely find Latin women more attractive than other race/ethnic groups as I get older. I’m not sure the line between that and the sort of thoughts that lead to murdering 8 people is THAT fine

And now we know we all know what you crank it to, damn.

I married a Latin girl. I think I always liked latin girls. I don't think it was a 'fetish' per se and characterizing it as that seems weird. Because it's not like I didn't appreciate the beauty in every other race including my own. As a matter of fact the girl I dated before my wife was Asian. And the girl before her was white.

I’ve been thinking a lot about times I was in Korea, Japan, or Thailand for work, basically alone. I think I’ve talked about one of the times I was in Tokyo, where I ended up taking a coworker out to some gay clubs as his straight wingman, got unexpectedly blackout drunk, and made it back to my hotel room with no memory of doing it.

At the time, I thought he asked me to take him out because we’d gotten to know one another on the trip or because we were the last ones there since our flights out were the next day. And maybe that’s right. Or maybe he felt safer with a straight, white dude in tow, even a 5’7” soft one like me. Maybe he thought it’d be less likely someone would try to fuck him up if he wasn’t alone coming out of the club. I don’t know because it never occurred to me to ask.

When shit like this happens, I hate that I felt safer, alone, drunk, almost 7,000 miles from home in a country that isn’t mine, than so many people do here, in their own home or place of business.

I don’t know what to do about it.

When we were out drinking, our bartender wanted to practice English with me, and when she realized I was straight, she apologized to me because she was gay and I wouldn’t be able to date her. I am not sure what privilege you could possibly mean.

As a fellow 5’7 white man, it sounds like I need a plane ticket to Japan to experience godhood.

Just hang out with Latinos, preferably Mexicans and Central Americans. I’m 5’10” and basically a basketball player around them.

I’m 6’3 and look like Yao Ming at family gatherings with the in-laws

The big thing mclumber is missing is that the fetishization of Asian women is based off the fact that they are seen as submissive and servile women.

There was a time where almost everything I jerked off to JAV. I have always had a thing for Asian women going back to middle school where a where I had a recurring substitute teacher who was an Asian woman. I had a massive crush on her. But not once was there this thought in my head of "oh yeah they are so submissive and servile". It was, for better or worse, just attraction to their physical features, and I find the Japanese language pleasing to listen to.  What I'm getting at is I always see the submissive bit brought up, but I've never met anyone who fetishizes Asian women for this reason. It was always weebs who think Japanese women = RL anime/hentai women.

Edit: I feel like that reasoning is dated. Like, it applies to the older generation of Asian fetishizers, but not as much to the younger.

Anyway, I still find Asian women attractive, but I guess I grew out of finding their physical appearances greater than the other races. Now they would be just as hot as everyone else. Hopefully that all came across right.

Edit 2: To make my stance clear, I do believe what the Murderer did was race related. Or yeah, "For sure racist" as you said.

Basically christianity killed these people by creating a monster.

All of this is so incredibly toxic. And evangelical Christianity perpetuates it. I grew up in that environment and even had a lot of these same guilt complexes and questions myself. This indoctrination of shame hurts a lot of people, their relationships, their idea of sex and intimacy, and obviously this.

When Trump got elected a lot of the Asian ppl I know would tell me it won't be bad or they support Trump. How if I just follow the laws I'll be ok, or how if I listen to the alt right maybe I'd understand that they do have a point, it's just that they aren't communicating it well. Or how BLM are a bunch of thugs. I would tell them just because you're not immediately on the list doesn't mean you're not on their list, and now we're here. There is no benefit in siding with the right. I know it isn't just asian ppl, there's a lot of self hating Mexicans out there.

What's the quote - something something when they came for the jews I did nothing, because I wasn't a Jew. When they came for homosexuals, I did nothing because I'm not a homosexual, then they came for me, and there was no one left to stand up for me or whatever

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Worth remembering when it comes to militant right wingers disparaging socialists

Every day that passes echoes Killer Mike's lyrics more and more

Quote

Fast forward the future so then you can face it
And see how fucked up it'll be
I promise I'm honest
They coming for you the day after they comin' for me

Although it was about the police I think you could stretch this out to refer to racists targeting other races as well.
