We are nearing the end of the decade and I think we should post our top ten games of the 2010's. I will post mine shortly but I'm running out so get started without me :p 

 

EDIT: There's no real criteria for this list other than what the top ten games are in YOUR opinion. They can be personal favs that you enjoyed the most or games that had the most impact in YOUR opinion. Personally I'm just putting the games that I myself played and enjoyed the most in the last ten years :peace:

Feels impossible to play enough to judge.  But here's mine anyways:

1. Super Mario Galaxy 2
2. Xenoblade Chronicles
3. Life is Strange
4. Guacamelee
5. Zelda: Skyward Sword
6. Xenoblade 2
7. Zelda: Breath of the Wild
8. Super Mario Odyssey
9. Radiant Historia
10. Slay the Spire

Honorable mentions: Dragon Quest XI, God of War, A Link Between Worlds, Transistor, Ori and the Blind Forest

Still need to get to The Last of Us, INSIDE, Hollow Knight, Mass Effect series, Witcher series, Dark Souls series, rest of the Arkham games, Spiderman, etc.

Damn, thinking of all the games that came out between 2010 to 2019 is tough, and I don't know if I could make a top 10 list. Breath of the Wild, and The Last of Us are definitely in there.

Minecraft*

 

* I've never played Minecraft myself, but I don't think any "all decade" list could honestly pass on it given it's popularity, impact and influence.

Edit: There should also be a BR game (Fornite, PUBG, etc.) on the list for the same reason.

Death Stranding 

God Of War

 

Mind you, I've only owned Playstations with a short excursion into X360 land at one point for a long time really. Last Nintendo console I own is the Wii. These are all really big standouts for me that I can remember off the top of my head right now. I haven't played some of the other heavy hitters like Witcher 3, GTAV, The Last of Us. 

 

Correction, I attempted to play The Last of Us but lost interested about two hours in recently.

 

For a short while I also really got into Street Fighter V until I had to actually delete it from my hard drive because I started acting like a total child in response to constant online losses and just couldn't control myself. Never had video game rage like that ever before and at my age, no thanks.

Definitely add Skyrim to my list. So right now my definitive list so far is

 

Mass Effect 2

The Witcher 3

GTA V

Elders Scrolls V: Skyrim

 

Those are definitely on the list. Need to think about the other six, but those four for sure.

Wait, are these lists just our personal favorites, or a list of "most influential" games? Because that would change my choices.

I'm still going by the "your opinion" part. :P Minecraft isn't one of my personal favorites, but I think it is absolutely a top 10 game of the decade.

I know I’m forgetting a few that are probably in contention, but this is probably about as accurate as I’ll get.

I really can't. Too many games to limit it to 10, especially with how frequently my opinions will change. My list of games will just be a list of great games and therefore not that illuminating. :p

My initial thoughts of my favourite games of the decade (based on an incomplete sampling).  I've limited myself to one game in a series to avoid Forza Horizon games dominating the list.

Destiny

Forza Horizon 4

Forza Motorsport 7

God of War

Horizon: Zero Dawn

The Last of Us

Mass Effect 2

Portal 2

Red Dead Redemption

Rise of the Tomb Raider

 

I'm not sure I am comfortable with AC IV, NFS: Most Wanted, Doom and Far Cry 4 falling off the list, but I'm not sure what to take off the list in their place.

To get to 10, I'll have to start thinking more, but I think these 5 are sure bets to start.

 

Edit: okay finished it out I think. First 8 were easy to choose once I was looking at a list, the rest were hard so I put in honorable mentions.
