  1. And that's kinda why your board is no longer as popular as it once was... kinda like Star Wars.
  2. I'm sure a lot of posters here will come up with all sorts of reasons to never want to listen to this guy (let alone read my own posts). But he brings up a lot of good points [Get this shit off of my board - The Guy Who Pays For This Place]
  3. At the very least, it's poetic justice for Vince to be above Dana. For as much trash talking as those blind UFC loyalists have done to the WWE for all these years (and wrestling in general), they deserve to have to work side-by-side and under pro wrestling execs. "Fake fighting" "Clown shows" "stupid entertainment"... All those meat head MMA-losers who can't respect wrestling as a long time legit form of entertainment THAT UFC OWES ITS POPULARITY TO can go suck a juicy one, lol
  4. Not too sure about the name, but Goddam Genndy animation always looks amazing
  5. Good. Let Disney see how being sued by these idiots isn't a big deal, and let them get rid of Feige, Kennedy, Iger, and anyone else that's been keeping Disney in a nose dive since D+ started.
  6. Eventually The Oscars are going to move to some streaming platform as an "exclusive show" that you'll be missing out on if you aren't a subscriber. And what a glorious day that will be when soapbox millionaires get on stage to preach to an even smaller audience than they'd ever admit to, lol
  7. Ricou Browning, the Gill-Man in ‘Creature From the Black Lagoon,’ Dies at 93 WWW.HOLLYWOODREPORTER.COM He spent a lot of time in the water during his career, also working on 'Flipper,' 'Sea Hunt,' 'Thunderball' and 'Caddyshack.' I was kinda surprised to read this. Cuz when I think of the Universal Monster movies, it's always felt like a distant era of film making that had no ties to anything in my lifetime, let alone my parents lifetime. Rip to the man, and a final rip in peace to a fantastic era in cinema history.
  8. If he's gonna do a project that just skims 'True Lies', why not put a sword in his hand and a crown on his head and skim something 'King Conan'-ish?
  9. Yea, every thread about this Sony model that I've read on the net always has multiple people saying that the Panasonic model is the way to go. But dam, $400-$1400 (depending on the model) is not an immediate amount of cash I have access to atm =/ And I think I read something where people were saying that the Sony models all have Atmos or HDR10, or something, that other models don't have... At least my Sony can still watch sub 2hr 4k movies without problems for now. But it's a dam sucky feeling to watch a movie and worry that it's gonna randomly freeze the longer it goes, lol
  10. I was watching my Blade Runner 2049 4k disc, and it froze on me. So, I re-bought it for whatever $30 it current goes for. But then I was watching Everything, Everywhere(...) on 4k, and that froze on me. So, I checked out a Google search and it turns out I have a crappy 4k player (Sony UBP 700) that's known to overheat and crash during long movie playbacks. But then, it's also known to be so sensitive that a tiny hair or fingerprint can also cause these catastrophic crashes, so no one's even sure what the problem with this brand is. So, not only did I spend $30 on a replacement disc for a movie that probably wasn't broken in the first place, but now I've gotta find a different 4k player that I can get modded to be region free.. F'n Sony...
  11. I think Spork's last comment about Roman not looking like a dominant champion who wins cleanly anymore comes in to play at Wrestlemania, and you need to do an ultimate feel good match in a triple threat that finally makes Roman look like the monster he should be. So, you get Cody and Sami both working together and fighting a superior Roman where it takes them focusing only on him to finally take down the 900+ day champion. And you end it where both Sami and Cody pin Roman at the same time so both of them get to keep a belt for themselves. It's not a 2-on-1 match, per se. But it's a 3-way match where the two of them know they can only beat Roman if they work together. Think of, like, Qui Gon and Obi taking down Maul. Or the two brothers fighting "the dog" in The Raid. Or even Mel Gibson and Danny Glover taking down Jet Li in Lethal Weapon 4. Just make it a match where the villain is so dominant that it takes both heroes to take him down.
  12. That's why the WWE going through with it now is so boring - especially with Sami being so hot, atm. But you know, idiot fans like RemarkableRiots want this kind of crap...
  13. It's still stupid "What Would Vince Do?" booking. WWE still can't recognize who's white hot, still can't figure out how to adjust their plans on the fly, and still won't give fans what they want over what the WWE thinks fans want. It's just a mess with no creativity. Sami and Owens going up against the Uso's at Wrestlemania is so predictably boring and dumb that it's almost like Vince IS still at the creative helm of things... There are two titles around Roman's waist, and Sami not going after one of them at Wrestlemania makes 0 sense.
  14. Back when this board wasn't so toxic, we had a few threads with some fun concepts where people were posting all sorts of songs. But then a few sour patch kids came in complaining about the music, and the board kinda died out... It's too bad, really.
  15. Thank God. I might've turned white if I saw them, and that's just too racist.
  16. I'm not an audiophile guy in the slightest (let alone anyone who can review movies for their disc merits). But I will say that the picture looks great compared to the Shout! release, and the discs are simple for idiots like me who just like to pop in a movie and play it without any fuss (I doubt any of this helps you, lol). I haven't gone through any extras, but I've read that everything included in this first movie is stuff that Shout! already had in theirs. Still, Shout! only had the first movie, and with Kino you'd be getting all three in one set for ~$40 - which is not a bad purchase in the slightest.
  17. I got the Missing in Action Trilogy last week from Kino... That's been a fun watch.
  18. "Guilty until proven innocent" is bad enough. But today's media really pushes the "guilty, and I hope you burn in hell" edict a bit too much for my tastes =/ For R&M, if all people think that Roiland does is provide a couple of voices, well then, so long R&M - it was fun while it lasted...
  19. Okay visuals. Lame song. I'm still hopeful it'll turn out to be a good series, though.
  20. To be fair, I'm generalizing my categories here. I only referred back to my Letterboxd ratings for this 2022 placement list, and this film just fell below my 2-star cut off that puts it in the 'awful category' and not in the 'whatever' category. But I honestly didn't enjoy this movie to the point that I can't really remember it these many months later. Thankfully, though, I always use Letterboxd to keep a record of my immediate thoughts on the films I watch at any given time, and this is what I wrote about it when I saw back it in April:
  21. I didn't see a lot of "new movies" this year. But I did get to watch a lot of "new to me" movies. So, I think rather than doing a top ten, it'll just be easier for me to categorize the 'Good' to the ''Whatever' to the "Awful" : Good: Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe 2022 Ghostbusters: Afterlife 2021 Top Gun: Maverick 2022 Less Than Zero 1987 Life of Pi 2012 The Northman 2022 Prey 2022 Scanners II: The New Order 1991 Werewolf by Night 2022 Whatever: Hellraiser 2022 Shoot to Kill 1988 Smile 2022 Knowing 2009 Awful: The Batman 2022 No Time to Die 2021 Sonic the Hedgehog 2 2022 By the Sword 1991 What Is a Woman? 2022 The Midnight Meat Train 2008 Speed Racer 2008 I, Frankenstein 2014 Undisputed 2002
