Apparently the chud’s are trying to rally up supporters for a work stoppage strike across the States for their dear leader on Tuesday. (From 2-4pm) Someone commented on their efforts and its true SOCIALIST CAUSE they are fighting for. Waiting for them chuds to link arms to keep Donald safe in his resort from being arrested. While also not allowing paying members in because they could be the deep state of FBI/CIA agents sent to spy on him. For some reason I can see Tuesday getting violent and even more so after his rally.

😂

sure why not.

Yeah, it’s so entertaining seeing the 3 Supreme Court justices he appointed completely strip rights away from people. And it’s totally entertaining seeing Nazis feel emboldened thanks to his entertainment.

True, these things, like every other horrible injury Trump has brought upon society, are by no means amusing—but, at the same time, I sort of understand where best3444 is coming from.  As my favorite poet once wrote about being black in Jim Crow America:

Quote

De railroad bridge's
A sad song in de air.
De railroad bridge's
A sad song in de air.
Ever time de trains pass
I wants to go somewhere.

I went down to de station.
Ma heart was in ma mouth.
Went down to de station.
Heart was in ma mouth.
Lookin' for a box car
To roll me to de South.

Homesick blues, Lawd,
'S a terrible thing to have.
Homesick blues is
A terrible thing to have.
To keep from cryin'
I opens ma mouth an' laughs.

-Langston Hughes, “Homesick Blues”

(and in all honesty, the fact that they have a recording of Trump literally bragging to people about his possession of classified documents is darkly hilarious)

Reading the indictment this morning, wow, on the assumption that all things in it are accurate, there is no way a jury wouldn’t convict on at least some accounts. The audio transcripts destroy any of the very legitimate defenses he could have raised.

Been what I've been seeing from national reports over the weekend. Those audio transcripts of him asking if it would be better if they said nothing, for example, or him admitting he can't declassify after leaving office, are amazing.

I think NBC interviewed a judge Trump appointed in Alabama who said the entire thing is damning. Whether he serves time is a different story: the point that judge made about him being guaranteed Secret Service protection and their not being able to delegate that authority to the prison system is something I'd not considered. Course, I'd love to see him in orange since he's reckless as all hell with national secrets!

It's very unlikely Trump sees prison time. I can't imagine he'd get anything worse than house arrest at Mar a Lago.

After reading bits and pieces from various news stories and twitter threads I finally got around to reading it myself and I agree. It all seems very straightforward. It's also very much unlike a lot of the "mob boss" style dealings that are par for Trump. He has between one and zero degrees of separation at all times here. He's clearly aware of the crimes and either directly instructing them or doing them himself. I expected more of the "maybe someone should take care of the thing in the room" or "this was a clerical oversight by a small part of my huge organization for whom I'm not directly responsible" or some other distance that Trump could put between himself and all of this.

Instead, it's Trump himself, on tape, saying he knows it's a crime, that he could have avoided doing it, but repeatedly deciding to do the crime. He had so many chances to just  cooperate and likely avoid any kind of consequence, but he just couldn't help himself.

I'm not very familiar with your typical indictment, but this feels very open and shut.

Yes, most likely outcome of a conviction is house arrest for what is likely the rest of his life. Not the outcome he deserves, but better for America than the alternative.

Exactly why Jack Smith didn't charge him for any of the documents that were returned after the subpoena was served.

If the jury consists of a bunch of Jim Jordans then he has a pretty good shot

but that wont shut him up or stop him from inciting will it..

literally the only reason hes in this mess is that he cant help but act like an entitled little shit despite everyone always giving him an “out”.. for all the crimes and stuff hes committed hes never truly been held accountable… so why wouldnt he continue to push this.. he’d loophole house arrest and be equally annoying

Not a great start for public access. Two orders issued Monday night in connection with Tuesday’s arraignment of Donald Trump — one from the chief judge of the Southern District of Florida and the other from the magistrate judge running the arraignment — will make informing the public about what happens on Tuesday more difficult and less transparent. Chief Judge Cecilia Altonaga issued an order barring all reporters, in...

He didn't have Jordans when he had to pay $5 million for being a lying rapist, and I'd assume those people are weeded out in jury selection.

Can anyone Republican go off brand and just admit that Trump is a sack of shit and terrible for the country?

Romney is the best you'll get and that's ever the sad statement.

I believe there is national security implications for most of the documents so Jack Smith is only charging the docs that can be revealed in an open court proceeding.
