Joe Biden beats Donald Trump, officially making Trump a one-term twice impeached, twice popular-vote losing president

I mean this is the whole thing. There’s a monument to the Holocaust in Berlin and it’s not a statue of Hitler.

They could just put a plaque on him that says “he was actually bad”

Sorry, it’s just this idea of “keep the monuments but put context” doesn’t work. Monuments are to glorify, and these people shouldn’t be glorified. As @Keyser_Sozestated, the remembrance should be focused on those who were tortured to make sure such things do not happen again, not on those who did the heinous acts.

Eastern Shore is a notoriously red area of my state. District 1, which I believe is Harford (north) to Worcester (SE), has our only republican rep. Our largest population areas are all deep blue though (PG, Montgomery, Howard, Balt. City, Balt. County, Anne Arundel).

It seems that these were withdrawn to clear the decks for whatever it is that Rudy has cooking up.

They've done this type of thing before, like with Flynn.

Given up the legal battle for a full fledged court of public opinion battle. I am not sure how that works, though, since there seems to be no seams to wedge his presidential power into for the magic's "get out of jail free" card.

Maybe Trump plans on signing an executive order designed to keep him in power and then challenge the constitutionality of that order in court which could find a more sympathetic judge?

They seem unhappy with how small and piecemeal the lawsuits are. Maybe Guiliani wants some big, flashy court case to sue the voting machine makers with the idea that it could invalidate millions of votes in one fell swoop.

I am trying to come up with something here. It seems like real law firms came up with some weak sauce lawsuits that got laughed out of court....but were at least based on past precedent like throwing out votes for being incorrectly filled out.

I am trying to think of what would be a bigger scale, less based in fact, more frivolous legal approach and I am having a hard time....

So I haven't looked at this depresso-thread in a few days to maintain my sanity. What'd I miss? Has Trump crowned himself Supreme King with a Burger King crown yet while riding a mechanical bull in a Costco parking lot?

The world is mostly ignoring him and his legal challenges have been an epic fail, but at this rate it looks like he might actually need to be escorted out of the White House by Secret Service in January.

My hope/fear is the Republican machine realizes that Trump alone is simply not worth this sacrifice and will ultimately leave him high and dry.  He gets to spew his bullshit and rabble rouse the base, but they don’t have to go through the massive crisis of having to go through an actual honest to god coup and the total chaos that would bring.  These judges have their jobs for life and they gain nothing by catering to Trump in particular.  Trump’s biggest problem here is that he never gave a flying fuck about the party or the movement, he gave a fuck about himself.
