Chairslinger
I'd imagine that is roughly the same coloring and texturing Melania has to deal with when it comes to their negotiated, bi-annual pre-nup mandated sex time. Though I doubt Trump is spry enough to twerk at this point.
silentbob
I think and must of had Covid when everyone else in the house got it. I was around them all the time because small house and 4 were with symptoms. I know out of the 5 of us, only one of us was officially confirmed. Still my mom is having taste issues with food like peppers(taste rotten) pop(soapy) and onions too. My cousin and her husband are having problem with chicken or just the look of it makes them sick. Now with everyone having those issues I also have these long term Covid issues. I have days where I have gone to work, come home and can barely eat half a bowl chili and I’m done eating until supper the next days. Will have headache issues and usually everyone else will get it 2-3 days later after the me or whoever started the problem, and you are zapped of any energy. So like I said, I tend to think I had it. Now we have Ontario breaking yet another daily total of 1426 today. Plus I’ve been been working in the hot zones of Brampton and Toronto the past 3 days. I didn’t even dare take the chance walking the sidewalks outside between stores with my mask off.

TheLeon
Parties with more than 10 people gave me a panic attack pre-pandemic. I can’t imagine doing that now. A couple of guys at work keep trying to get me to come out and party with them. I run out of breath listing all the reasons that would be bad for everyone involved. ShreddieMercury
My wife is a telemetry nurse, and her floor is now used for ICU overflow with the hospital being at full capacity. Her hospital was not giving (or unable to procure for) their nurses the proper PPE equipment (N95) until September, instead relying on cloth masks that were sanitized with UV rays. We've essentially been restricting ourselves to seeing our parents outside on their porch maybe once or twice a month since March, with no other contact. It's absolutely infuriating to see people not taking this seriously, even as it's now worse in Colorado than it has been all year. The blatant disregard for other people's safety for the most trivial of reasons (eating at restaurants, social gatherings, etc.) has made me realize how little hope there is for us to tackle a crisis of any magnitude in this country. I don't know how the lack of a sweeping federal response to the pandemic can be seen as anything other than a humanitarian crime, but I suppose that's our failed state in action. b_m_b_m_b_m
My wife's old school is back in person and is effectively not notifying anyone of infections. That is because all desks are 6 feet apart, and unless you're within 6 feet of someone for more than 15 minutes you don't get informed. So glad she's at her new school now

The people trying the hardest to be safe are also the ones bearing the worst of the weight of isolation. It's not fair that those making the pandemic worse are also the ones living more normal lives. I'm scared to leave the house now... I don’t blame you with the gym membership. PA, by all accounts, sucks complete ass in regards to people wearing their masks at the gym. I think it’s only “encouraged” if you’re walking around and don’t need to wear it at all while actually lifting or doing cardio. In NJ it’s 100% at all times - a gym in northeastern NJ got shut down due to violations in not being on members asses to keep their masks on according to a local cop here. My fiancé works the front desk 3-days a week and is constantly yelling at people to keep their mask on, but starting last week if they have to tell you more than once they make you leave the gym for the day, and if you give them any back talk whether first or second warning, they call the police to have you escorted out. I wish you lived in a closer part of PA to Burlington County, NJ - I’d tell you to meet me at my local gym and my fiancé would just let you in. (And if you actually want to take that drive and meet me by 6am on Tuesdays/Thursdays/Saturdays, the offer stands )
mclumber1
I think the silver lining of having a vaccine approved and start to be distributed while Trump is still President, is that it will be supported by more people overall. The more people who get the vaccine, the better.

The same could be said if the vaccine was rushed in the late summer or early fall of this year - many Democrats might not want to take it because of the obvious politics of the vaccine. But the fact that it may be released during Trump's lame duck session is good for everyone, I think.

silentbob
Ontario broke yesterday’s record. . . .again. Today we recorder 1575 cases in Ontario and 900+ were from where I’ve been working all week. So yeah, fuck the colour chart and just lock shit up already before we get any worse. I take it that many people threw Halloween Parties and said fuck it, and now we’re getting fucked from their stupidity It was also revealed that the Ford government didn't consult with any of the medical advisory groups on the newest colour codes and procedures. They took what the recommendations were, and then quadrupled them for each level (so instead of 25 cases/100k being the requirement for a red zone, they set it at 100/100k). Remarkableriots
@mclumber1 Does it make any sense to you that Sisolak on one hand wants everybody in Nevada to stay home and only go out if absolutely necessary for the next two weeks. On the other hand he encourages tourists to keep coming to Nevada during that same two weeks?
silentbob
My neighbour just called my mom to inform her that she just lost her dad this morning to a Covid. He just turned 93 today of all days, and had recently broken his hip, but was recovering in hospital when he contracted the disease. She got a call from the hospital that he had hours to live this morning and just called to let us know he just passed. Even harder because she’s here in Ontario and he lives in Wales. Now I know, 93 he had a good life. This man was (until breaking his hip) working at a local golf course and on a farm. The man was not weak, and so once again FUCK YOU COVID
