Keyser_Soze
Phenomena: 7/10 - A strange movie for sure. A killer, a girl who can control bugs and a chimpanzee. Also Donald Pleasence is pretty cool to see in a movie and a very young Jennifer Connelly. But yes the movie uh, it's like they had a lot of ideas but it didn't really all come together. I was mostly impressed by the insect macrowork.
TheLeon
Never Rarely Sometimes Always - "understated teen abortion drama" might not be the movie you're looking for at the moment, but this is a damn good movie. The lead performance from newcomer Sidney Flanigan is beautiful and heartbreaking.

johnny
The Wretched I actually thought this would be horrible and while it’s nothing special I did enjoy watching it and it’s paced really well. It’s got a good enough amount of creepiness and isn’t an annoying jump scare fest.

Outside of Suspiria and Deep Red, this is basically how I feel about most of Argento's movies. Phenomena is more like a weird and goofy music video to me. Not sure I even really like it but it sure is kind of interesting.
Bloodporne
Nurse Jackie I only started watching it maybe two weeks ago and I'm already on S3, what a great show. So far it's a definite 9/10.

Keyser_Soze
Splice: 7/10 - I was under the impression this was a horror movie. But the only horror here is for profit drug companies am I right folks? I enjoyed it but really it's kind of a creature feature, how to raise your not quite human baby. The ending leaves the movie open for a sequel which could have been pretty cool but I guess no sequel ever came.
Iculus
Dune '84. I had to immediately rewatch 'Cherry 2000' in order to renew my faith in film/10. Everything about this movie is complete shit. At least 'Ice Pirates' had a funny castration scene.

I don't hate Dune, but I can understand why it doesn't appeal to so many.

johnny
So there is a documentary on Shudder about The Exorcist. It’s basically just William Friedkin talking about various things from the screenplay to acting and stuff but it’s pretty interesting. If you have a shudder account you should check it out. man, really wanting a 4K release of The Exorcist...
Fizzzzle
Since I apparently missed the bandwagon on bingewatching the Great British Baking Show during the first quarantine, I've decided that's what I'm doing for quarantine no. 2. I mean, it's a reality show, so their editing is kind of insufferable, but it's still a bit wholesome. I've watched 3 seasons so far. elbobo
Truth Seekers Way better on paper than it turned out, I don't think this show ever figured out what it really wanted to be. 5/
Keyser_Soze
What We Do in the Shadows: 7/10 - So this is the movie that inspired the show I suppose. I thought it was a funny mocumentary style movie, not super funny but pretty solid. It's actually a movie about Stu.

I still absolutely love the Father Karras performance, especially the scene with his mother appearing in the bed.
elbobo
The Crown season 4 I know it is the nature of the show but I wish they would focus more on the major historical events like the Falkland war and The Troubles the latter of which barely gets 10 minutes of the screen time this season. You can just go ahead and put Gillian Anderson's name on the Emmy right now. 8/
Keyser_Soze
Voice 2: 8/10 - So I brought this show up on the other page but I finally finished it yesterday. I was wary of how this show could continue without one of the main characters from the first season but the new guy works and is actually integral to the plot so I think it worked out well. I feel like the second season was able to up the ante in the extremes (like the first season had a child abuse case while this one has a pedophile case) But these shows are less about the cases, which few happen usually, and more about the villain and somehow they gut a guy even more crazy than the guy in the first season. I think my only issue is that sometimes it feels like the characters lack some common sense so they're always getting duped. But in any case I thought it was really good @Greatoneshere and @thewhyteboar need to stop twiddling their fingers and get on the Voice train! Dre801
Rewatching The Office(it's leaving Netflix soon). I should have just stopped at Season 7 since Seasons 8 and 9 were bleh(Nellie was so annoying) overall, but here I am about to start the final season. Keyser_Soze
My Girlfriend is an Agent / 7th Level Civil Servant: 8/10 - I've seen this movie 3 times and it's good times every time. Although, the more I watch Korean stuff the more I recognize other actors I've seen in other shows / movies. Like the main guy in this, Kang Ji-hwan, was in another show I watched which I quite enjoyed (Feel Good to Die). Unfortunately it sounds like he sexually assaulted 2 women last year at his home and how is in prison for 2 years. YIKES! @thewhyteboar
silentbob
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 4K 3.25/5 This was my 2nd time watching the film, but first at home on my system. I didn’t realize that my receiver was only playing the TrueHD track and not the Atmos track. It still has some good panning and sub action, but I went back and got Atmos working again. Rewatched a few scenes and it sure does fill the overhead subtly but the films sounded fuller or more complete/engaging in its storytelling. Plus JVC just released a new update for my projector to optimize the picture even better, and they sure did do a good job. Plus it was like watching classic Jim Carrey. Doing his over the top comedy routine but still playing a character that had a mission on screen be bad or good. It was better then it had any right too. Would of been cool if they included the original cgi Sonic in to show what they almost released (and thank god they fixed him)
Keyser_Soze
C.H.U.D. II Bud the Chud: 8/10 - While the first movie tried to play it straight and ended up kinda bad the sequel never took itself seriously and ended up good (imo). The saving grace of the first movie was the commentary track that made the movie HILARIOUS, and while commentary tracks weren't a thing in 1989 the filmakers decided to take this into a silly direction right from the start. I think sine they didn't end up going with any huge big name actors this time (I mean unless you consider Tricia Leigh Fisher (half sister of Carrie Fisher) a big name actor) I think they could concentrate the budget on making everything else better. Now you might be disappointed if you are super into the lore of the first CHUD movie but CHUDs are no longer weird creatures that have glowing eyes and extend their necks, they are closer to self aware zombies now. In any case I got a big kick out of watching it, it's silly, it's fun and is a good movie rather than a "so bad it's good" movie.
