What are you playing today?

More God of War (2018) for me.  I only played a small portion but it's a game where I can happily play 2 hours and not feel as though I'm wasting my life (which generally kicks in around the 40 minute mark for most games).  It's incredibly enjoyably and I'm still finding the combat and story engaging.  I'm also glad I can see the general progression of the story as I did have a worry it would involve visiting an awful lot of realms and doing a very similar thing in each of them.

I'm looking forward to it being fun so I can (as mentioned before) buy and start the RE2 remake. It won't be a 'buy at release' thing but I have a few days off after the 15th of February for half term, so I'll really enjoy a relax and play GoW for a good old while and aim to finish it.  Then it'll be RE2, then during Easter, I have 3 weeks off from school, so unless I'm working OT at my other job, I'll start RDR2 or finish The Witcher 3 (or both).

He cannot, I asked him that last night. Basically, any accounts that didn't get restored or if the poster hadn't been active in a while were deleted since he didn't figure those people would be back anyway.

Didn't he make his profile inactive or something anyway?

I've been bouncing around, but yesterday I settled back into Dragon Quest XI. I hadn't touched it in months, but was able to get back into it easily enough.  I was "only" 20 hours into it when I dropped it before, so I have still have a lot to play. It'll probably take several months of on and off play, but I do intend to finish this one eventually.

Now me and you both know you aren’t going to be able to play that DEMO.

I actually got about an hour in this morning! I went from level 10 to 11 and got some gear and unlocked the next Javelin (heavy) then the game hit a load screen and all my progress popped like a beautiful soap bubble in the sun light...poop. :daydream:

I have been playing some of my backlog lately.

Played The Castle Game and Trine Enchanted Editon on PS4 yesterday.

Trine was a nice surprise. I remember getting it on Steam a while back in a Humble Bundle or something and found it unplayable. I think it was a mix of my laptop not running it very well, and it just being a fairly floaty game to begin with.

But between Plus(Trine 2) and just picking them up super cheap on sales(Trine EE and Trine 3) I have all 3 of them on PS4 so I figured might as well give them another chance. I am glad I did.

While the controls are floaty, and the game is fairly easy when you get the hang of things, I am enjoying it quite a bit.

Just completed:

-Final Fantasy XV (on PC; not the DLC though, waiting on the final one to release in March first)

-God of War (platinum'd)

-Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin (on PC)

-Devil May Cry 1 HD Remaster (on PC)

-Nioh (on PC; working on the DLC now though currently - game is DAMN hard at this point)

-Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (on PC - great throwback I always meant to replay)

Currently working on:

-Lost Odyssey (on the final disc, almost done)

-Child of Light (playing with the wife, on the final chapter, almost done)

-Devil May Cry 2 (still early, on the backburner thanks to Resident Evil 2)

-Monster Hunter: World (playing with my two younger brothers, just started)

-Resident Evil 2 (goddamn this game plays so smoothly, just started)

I might play some Mass Effect Andromeda, the combat in Anthem has inspired me to give it another chance.

Andromeda outside of some silly animations at times and jankiness is really not to to bad. I found myself getting into it as I tried to focus on things such as combat etc. Hopefully you'll find some enjoyment

I enjoyed Andromeda until the end... the last boss sucked and I hated that we

Spoiler

Never found out what happened to the Quarian Ark.

Hopefully they'll be able to save the franchise because for all it's flaws, Andromeda had the best actual gameplay of the series to date.

I've been reading Blood, Sweat, and Pixels which made me curious about some of the games discussed. Most recently, I booted up Halo Wars (thank you Game Pass). I had fun for the first couple missions, where you can pretty much hit the ALL UNITS button and push towards an objective. But by mission 4, you're supposed to be protecting multiple targets, escorting civilians, building a base to pump out more troops... I think I have to accept that I just don't like RTS games. I don't think having a mouse and keyboard would have helped me like this one any more.

played some more of Shadow of Mordor. Love the combat but I'd have preferred a bit more of a linear experience to be honest...the game does get crazy though. I went after one of the warlords or whatever you call them and more of them kept showing up until there were 4 of them all together at once. Managed to kill 2 of them, but ultimately they beat me down.
