Behind the scenes: During one hurricane briefing at the White House, Trump said, "I got it. I got it. Why don't we nuke them?" according to one source who was there. "They start forming off the coast of Africa, as they're moving across the Atlantic, we drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane and it disrupts it. Why can't we do that?" the source added, paraphrasing the president's remarks.

He so badly wants to use a nuke, and will likely jump at any chance he gets to use one.

Probably on Peurto RICO

he hates them so much because he thinks it’s an investigation of his family.

Nuking Hurricanes: The Surprising History of a Really Bad Idea (National Geographic)

Quote

To be fair, though, there was a time when scientists and government agencies were themselves seriously considering the nuclear option. In a speech delivered at the National Press Club on October 11, 1961, Francis W. Riechelderfer, the head of the U.S. Weather Bureau, said he could “imagine the possibility someday of exploding a nuclear bomb on a hurricane far at sea.” (Although, comfortingly, Riechelderfer added that the Weather Bureau would not begin acquiring its own nuclear arsenal “until we know what we’re doing.”)

You think Trump is erratic and unhinged now? Just wait until the US falls into a recession and he loses the 2020 election.

He’ll declare martial law and nuke Iran.

And I’m not joking.

I'm pretty sure they already thought of this 50+ years ago.  I assume they dropped the idea because IT WAS TOO STUPID TO EVEN THINK UP.

And of course, Trump and his supporters are the ones that deny climate change is a problem and claim to know so much about how weather works.

This week on America: Fuck Yeah!

Hot on the heels of me seeing a jacked, enormous pickup truck with a giant TRUMP 2020 flag mounted on its bed this morning...in Manhattan. Someone took a wrong turn from Upstate.

It’s weird that a guy with so many properties on the water doesn’t believe in climate change.

It makes complete sense when you realize he will be dead within two decades and won't see the worst of it

I believe he is recession proof because it will surely be Obama's fault :|

That, and it would be different if he believed and was buying ocean side properties now.

Just imagine if the nuke didn't actually cause the hurricane to not dissipate. The fallout would get trapped in the vortex and come down as radioactive rain over the East coast.  Make sure you keep your iodine tablets in your medicine cabinet!
