The second one is quite good, but not at the level of the first.

The third one is "fine" but suffers terribly from current generation open-world bloat.

1&2 are good , they open worldish type. 3 is open world similar to GTA

Mafia III wasn't THAT bad. 

 

Sure, it had one of the most boring, mechanically unnecessary, and derivative open world implementations this side of Horizon Zero Dawn, but it wasn't as terrible as all that :p

Not every game needs to be massively open world. I played 2 a couple years after release and thought the length and setting were just right.

I agree. I actually enjoyed a world that you can freely explore that isn’t littered with fetch quests and collectibles.
