Not only will they payout a LOT more without some type of cap in place, it’s going to be a nightmare to implement. Something like 25% of people in NJ who applied for UE still haven’t seen a cent, and there are a lot of people still having issues with the flat-rate $600 PUA... and that’s a fairly simple thing. Now they want to implement a rate that will vary for every person...? Lol And then there’s the matter of the amount the federal government has to supplement changing DRASTICALLY on a state by state basis. I ask only because I had both a regular paying job and a commission job before the pandemic and I have been getting unemployment plus $600 from the regular-paying job, but I have yet to see a cent from the PUS General Fund that is says I am eligible for every week I certify. They were paying me the regular unemployment and the $600 from early on, but I had to wait until June 30th for someone from unemployment to call me about my commission job. They’re both essentially the same, however; $600/week. One is just for 1099s, the other for W2s. But, no, I don’t think you can receive both. I voted against him in the primary. Sometimes I wonder how he represents a majority-minority PG County and then I look at the actual district. I'm near Rosaryville. A lot of white people in Calvert (east of PG), southern Anne Arundel (north of Calvert), Charles (south of PG) and St Mary's.
