Nope.

The Texas Democratic Party is, frankly, fucking incompetent. They're the Detroit Lions of political parties.

It's time for some brutal honesty and tough love.

The 2020 election was a failure for Texas Democratic Party, the 2022 election was even worse. What do Democrats need to do in Texas to win?

Instead of flipping Texas blue, just let it become its own country again imo, then all the chuds can move there

Not everyone in Texas is a MAGA Republican. 3.5 MILLION Texans voted for Beto. That's more than the combined population of Wyoming, Montana and North and South Dakota.

I've heard people say to wait until the 2030s or 2040s. Between climate change and Republicans going all-in on fascism, we might not have that long to wait.

Reminder that Texas is nowhere near as red as Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, North Dakota, Kentucky, or West Virginia, which have all elected a Democrat to statewide office.

Run some dude as a a classic Republican dipshit asshole but then he just conducts his day to day business as a liberal and no one knows or cares because dumb people only focus on the actual election rather than results.

(You can see the evidence of this by watching dirt poor people in deep red states talk about all the vague great things Trump did)

Populism for governor could be a winning idea. Also, Texas has a rather complicated executive branch with split powers between 5 offices. In most states, these powers would reside solely with the Governor.

Like, a ton of policy things people ascribe to Abbott are actually the work of Dan Patrick, the Lt. Governor. Especially legislation.

The Texas State Constitution is written in a way where the Lt. Governor is the one with the real power.

Even flipping a couple of state legislative seats would go a long way toward flipping the state.

Three of those states have a tradition of voting for dems that has waned severely as of late (and the most recent elected dems there share their fathers or family name, and aren’t all that progressive anyway) and in the cases of OK and AL their opponents were comically shitty, one being a literal child predator and still nearly won

Not really comparable?
