  1. Barron Trump to step into the political arena as a Florida delegate at the Republican convention WWW.NBCNEWS.COM The position as an at-large delegate for the Florida Republican Party will be the most high-profile political role thus far for Barron, former President Donald Trump's youngest son. Baron is no longer a kid and now getting involved in the political scene. He’s fair game now.
  2. I wasn't allowed to watch the cartoon growing up but I love this show and think it absolutely works for those who never watched the original. It probably does help to at least have a basic understand of the X-Men world and main characters because it does throw a lot at you but you' should be fine.
  3. I've had this conversation with a few of my leftists friends and they don't hate me for voting for Biden because they understand where I'm coming from as a trans person. Even one of my friends asked if him not wanting to vote from Biden was coming from a place of privilege, and I was like, "that's very self aware of you to ask, but yes lol." These are conversations I only really have in person because I hate talking politics on social media. This board is like my one online outlet to say all my silly thoughts.
  4. I get you but I wasn't saying that the battle was over who's a worse person, but I should have been more clear that what I meant it's just hard for get as involved if their both garbage. However, since that post I've looked into it a little bit and there's a good chance Drake is making shit up. You're right that the allegations against Drake are more believable which is why Not Like Us is so damning. For the record I definitely much prefer Kendrick's music over Drake's.
  5. I learned from your mistake of defending JK Rowling. She recently came out as a holocaust denier by denying that trans were targeted by the Nazis. Not a good look to defend someone who ended up becoming a holocaust denier, SBL. JK Rowling Holocaust Denialism: Author Pushes Claims That Trans People Were Not A Target WWW.ERININTHEMORNING.COM On Wednesday, JK Rowling implied that Nazis never targeted trans people in Germany, calling it "a fever dream." She doubled down when challenged with sources showing trans persecution in Nazi Germany.
  6. You can only defend the last scene on an intellectual level but on an emotional level it reigns so false. Clearly a movie made by a man. Garland is an ideas guy. He makes movies about ideas, not characters. I think a more humanist director would been better suited for this material.
  7. I’m not saying their anger isn’t justified if that’s what you’re implying.
  8. I’m 100% pro-Palestine but those who think not voting from Biden is the best way to bring about change will be in for a rude awakening when they see how Trump plans to handle these protests.
  9. I think about this moment a lot whenever Jerry Seinfeld gets mentioned because it encapsulates him well. I’m a local standup comedian and you see people like Jerry all the time in the standup scene - comedians who use humor as a shield from showing any sort of sincerity. I’m a very sincere person at heart which is part of the reason I haven’t been as active these days. It’s harder to relate to it these days. Humor is a powerful tool. It can be used to connect but also can be used to repress and hide from emotions.
  10. Not the direction I expected Dune 3 to take.
  11. I actually I had to stop myself at laughing during the ending. It was so ridiculous.
  12. These days you get called a doom and gloomer for being a realist but those same people will never apologize when what you said would happen happens.
  13. I leave a one star review for any business still playing Fox News.
  14. My problem with Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is that Jerry Seinfeld is the Tom Cruise of comedy. He has trouble coming across as a real human, even when talking with people who are supposedly his friends. Also there are plenty of podcasts that feature better comedian-on-comedian conversations. It's basically a more polished and produced version of WTF with Marc Maron.
  15. I agree that something seems to be a little off about the movie just based on marketing alone. But the director usually doesn’t have any control over marketing so I won’t judge it for that. I do wish the movie was more visually distinct from Fury Road but WB wants audiences to know this is connected to that movie so I understand the choice. A couple critics I trust seemed to really like it so I’m hopeful and excited. EDIT: One critic I loved said it's great but a real swerve, like a Babe 2 Pig in the City level of swerve. Honestly that's what I hope for and I'm hyped.
