Greatoneshere
Holy shit I am amped. As a huge fan of Tron: Legacy (the audio/visual assault on the senses alone is worth watching it again and again), I was sad when they were just about to start filming the 3rd and cancelled. Bring back Cillian Murphy! I hope this happens.
silentbob
I’m all in for a new Tron movie and a big fuck yeah for Daft Punk to return to score (they were robbed that year) plus Uprising was a better show than I ever expected. Too bad they canned it

I like Garrett Hedlund, and he's only become a better actor in the interim. I want it to be a direct sequel, and they hinted Cillian Murphy could become one of the big bads of the sequel, so I want to see that happen. But definitely bring back Olivia Wilde. Guest
I adore Tron Legacy, and given that Disney is building a Tron ride in Magic Kingdom, can’t say I’m surprised they would still want to produce a new film in the series.
skillzdadirecta
Tron Legacy is a visually beautiful movie with an amazing soundtrack. That's about all it has going for it but it's more than enough. Just turn your brain off, ignore the dialogue and enjoy the experience. "Story" was complete trash though. I STILL listen to that soundtrack. IdeaOfEvil
Hopefully this movie actually has Tron in it and not some cameo/b.s., "That's no moon, it's a space station..." revelation explaining that some loser in a mask was Tron all along =/
Bacon
I saw tron 2 for daft punk and I'll see tron 3 for daft punk. If they aren't there I won't care.
sexy_shapiro
It was a fun movie to see in 3D but it had similar pacing issues to the first movie. I really had no desire to see it again, especially on a smaller screen. But I’ll be down for a similar spectacle once things settle back to normal. Brick
Daft Punk should have been nominated for Best Original Score at the Oscars, but the old farts at the Academy are, well, old farts. Hope Daft Punk come back.

sexy_shapiro
I forgot that Social Network was completely snubbed for best score that year. That would have been my pick.

I do prefer the Social Network score over the TRON score, though.
Brick
Inception was also that year. The score being used as a ticking clock during some scenes was clever.
Reputator
I will gladly take a new Tron with the same amazing music and visual style but sans the uncanny valley and maybe a little more emotional depth to the characters added in.

Kal-El814
Legacy was not a great movie but I love Tron in general, so I'm down. Give me more Jeff "Moses" Bridges who has the ability to bend all 4 elements, more Daft Punk, and just take that money.

Keyser_Soze
Maybe Tron as a whole just isn't good at all. 🤔
ort
Both Tron movies are quite bad. I have a soft spot for the first one, since I decided it was cool when I was like 7 or 8... and I absolutely adore the visual effects and aesthetics of the movie, like a LOT. But yeah, it's boring, and weird and sloppy and really not a good flick. It's just not. Legacy is kinda in the same boat. I LOVE the soundtrack and like the new visuals a lot... but I think the script is a pile of rancid dookie and while it looks cool, the whole movie is really just a dumpster fire with a very nice coat of paint on it. Who is asking for a third one? Wasn't Legacy a big flop? I would be surprised if Daft Punk returned. I feel like it's not something they would do again. heydude93
Daft Punk's soundtrack for me was the least interesting thing they've done musically though I did enjoy it as a movie score. Kosinski's visual sensibilities made Legacy a fun watch, so I'm glad he's directing. I will definitely see this if it gets made.

I feel literally thirsty by the end of the film.

CitizenVectron
Tron, to me, is like Avatar - A great example of the advancement of film technology...as a tech demo. It's cool to watch Tron (I did so again recently) for the effects, and appreciate the effort that went into it. Not much else, though (except the bulges).
