couldnt get in at all tonight. i tried a few times for about 10 minutes each time and gave up.

I have yet to fail to just get into the game normally. Weird. Every time I open it, it plays just fine.

The dumb thing is it's not set up as a que, so it's not first come first serve.  @ARZARZwas trying for like 2 hours and I got in after like 15 minutes.

 

I joined a few higher level friends earlier today and did some Suicidal Difficulty Missions.  I was lvl 16.  It was a lot of fun, just non stop action and explosions everywhere.

Possibly, but I'm not sure that even that would necessarily alleviate the situation.

 

What I do know is that the server concurrent population capacity was capped at 450K heading into the weekend per the developers.

It’s hard to recommend buying it right now anyway with the server issues.  I bought the Super Citizen edition and I’m out here getting treated like an illegal trying to hop the border. Shutting me out.

My brothers and I are close to 100%ing Helldivers 1, we'll be going right into Helldivers 2 once we're finished, probably next week, hopefully by then any and all issues are mostly smoothed over. Can't wait!

Yesterday I couldnt get into the game due to servers at capacity. Today Im getting the black screen error. Ive tried changing the "full screen" setting to false and even deleting the config file all together. No dice. 

 

This has been a super fun game so far!!

I didn't specifically watch them to watch them wait. They were watching Max at the streamer awards and when he didn't win the fighting game category the rest of the show was too cringe to watch so they decided to fire up Helldivers 2 instead, and were greeted with the queue screen. From there he did some other stuff in the meantime, not just staring at the screen and then when Max won the other award he frantically turned back to watch that. I was really only watching for the Max thing otherwise it was on in the background.

You can definitely play without a mic. I've done so quite a bit with randoms. Played a few missions last night with @JPDunks4 @Mercury33 and @ARZ without my mic because I was on the phone at the same time. We accomplished our missions for glorious Super Earth with no problem.

Got on around 10pm last night. Game just loaded right up no problem. Tried fighting robots solo since it didn’t connect to anyone. Man that was a mistake. Game over within 5 minutes on medium.  Went back to a bug planet and the game connected to 3 other players and I had a great time. Someone in the squad threw down a very badly placed napalm strike which hilariously killed 3 out of the 4 members. Couldn’t even be mad.
