  1. Easily in the older game playing boat. I have such a large backlog of games and in the last few years now have been really great at not spending 2-3k a year on games and frankly it's been nice! I could, it's just such a waist at this point. I still have 6 of the biggest AAA games I bought for my PSS5 still unplayed and the damned slim is out with rumors of a PS5+ coming soon. Enough of this shit! I have Returnal, Deathloop, the latest Ratchet & Clank, Demon Souls remake, GOW Ragnarok, Dying Light 2, spiderman & SM Miles Morales, etc, etc. This is nearly the same with Series X but not quite as bad as Game pass has kept me rolling in plenty of games since launch.
  2. BEEN PLAYING THE SHIT out of MBL24 on Gamepass. At this point if it were to leave I'd have to buy it, it's that good. I used to be a HUGE MLB2k player, and could even justify a system purchase just to play that game! when it was exclusive Sony, but the last 8 or so years I just stopped and played what I already owned and didn't buy every year at launch. So not playing a new version now for almost 9 years, this years MLB2k24 is FANTASTIC and I'm hooked like I used to be, kinda. I'm about 17 hours into this version but that's a lot of my gaming time the past month or 6 weeks rather. Really good game.
  3. You mention MJ alot and I was just wondering if you ever got to see him play? I did 3 times! He's\not my favorite but he's the GOAT and experiences watching those games are things i'll\never forget! All 3 times were bulls vs. Laker games, good times!
  4. ONLY Street Fighter 6 in a very long time too in between. I feel I'll be in PC gaming buying true form again when I can build a NEW Gaming RIG and drop a 5090 in it. I know it'll be 1500-1800 for the card this go around but it should hold me for a LONG time. My 2080Ti is still doing quite well but it's nothing compared to todays tech!
  5. DS1 Remake was/is a FANTASTIC remake of a Fantastic game period. I don't understand what make the remake a "Success" but I was under the impression that it did very well. They couldn't have thought it would have better sales than the original could they?
  6. I just read this a few minutes ago and man did I love me some fallout 4! I would have to estimate but probably over 150 hours into the game and love most everything about it. We just started watching the TV show on prime and are 1 episode in and liked it alot! The game is so fantastic and the update is free so really it's a huge win for most everyone. If some how you have not played this game and you in anyway love open world RPG games, Just do it!
  7. 68 !! for my favorite car 68 chevelle of course!!
  8. Best game on the lint IMHO. I'm sure most wont agree but it's a fantastic game . . .
  9. IT's OFFICIAL! I now have the car in my Garage! Drove it around my little housing community we live in and it drew a lot of attention as it's Very loud to say the very least. We plan on taking to a show this coming weekend and I'll post some more photos for anyone who is interested. I now have "MY DREAM" Car in my possession and in my garage where it will live out most of it's live sadly. The car has 276 miles on Monster built 454 LS6 that put's down almost 500HP shified by Hurst 4speed manual tranny. Some lust for a Lamb, or a Porsche, McClarin, etc, etc I'm an old guy that Loved the Muscle Car era dearly and has missed to badly ever since. 20240402_114403.jpg - Google Drive DRIVE.GOOGLE.COM 20240402_114338.jpg - Google Drive DRIVE.GOOGLE.COM
  10. Those that own this VR Headset: Do you love it or hate it or somewhere in between? Did you own a VR Unit before this purchase? I have never even tried VR but have always wanted to give it a try if not outright owning a good set. This set, the PS5 VR set has been the closest I have ever been to buying one. I have very much wanted to Play HalfLife: Alex I'm pretty sure that's a title not available on the PSVR2 set. So is this VR set recommended of at this point a pass and wait for maybe Meta 4's set? If I do buy one I'm going to want one that ticks most all boxes and doesn't need modules set up in the corners to work. So the least wires would be great. I doubt the PSVR2 is the one for me but am really wanting to know what the overall opinions are from those that own it and maybe have for awhile?
  11. Did you use an angle adapter for yours too? Yea it's a major upgrade and a NEEDED one IMO. The Ally was just really simple, maybe 30-40 minutes and most was just laying out all my tools and matt etc. I haven't touched the SDeck because the Micro Card slot actually works and I have much smaller games on it too. I did the Hall affect stick upgrade on the Sdeck along with the soldering and that was a bit tedious as I'm not the greatest solderer {words?} but I'm improving for sure. So the track pads work. The SD needed these sticks badly and I so wish the Ally had them and I HATE how the ROG's sticks rub on the edges while you use them. I'm not hard on any of my equipment and there pretty bad feeling.
  12. Well I finally upgraded my Ally's internal storage as I'm not wasting another second of my time with the SHITTY ASS Micro SD slot in this thing! What a FAIL in an otherwise fantastic handheld gaming console. Those interested in what I put in I'll list the parts I ordered and the Install couldn't have been easier. Parts Needed / used --------------------------- 1. Crucial Gen4 4TB SSD 2. You'll need this 90degree M.2 drive adapter to install full-sized drive into the ALLY! Having 4Tb in this thing feels like cheating. It's every bit as fast as the drive that was in there and if they ever release a GEN2 Ally I'll just reverse this upgrade and us the new 4TB drive in the next one placing the original tiny one back in a sell/give it away.....I Highly recommend this upgrade as the Micro SD slot will kill cards I've lost 2 512 gig samsung top of the line Micro cards in there. I was able to get them replaced through Best Buy but I'm not doing it a 3rd time!
  13. Man I WISH the Ally had the Steam decks screen! I love the Ally and having now finished updating the inner SSD to THIS: Crucial Gen4 4TB full sized M.2 SSD it's been fantastic. It really needs hall affect sticks and an Oled screen and get rid of the black border while their at it. There's room for another 1/2" in screen size easily. The gen 2 Ally could have so much potential. I'd sell my SD and 1st Gen Ally easily for these improvements and that's without a boost in performance. Pretty sure a new iteration would come with better CPU & GPU and perhaps a larger battery. I'm ready........
  14. Play the 1st one {Remake wise} and forgot you played the third one.....lol
  15. The ROG Ally gets near all my play at the moment. I'm building a NEW PC when the 5090 is released no holds barred and that will also be a pretty penny. The car isn't here yet!!!! It's coming from IOWA. This car has spent the last 7 years in a climate controlled car storage unit on a trickle charger. It's a frame of restomod and has 373 miles on it....lol I don't know if I'm going to be allowed in it. This was so way out of the NORM for ME. I mean I can spend money we all can, but 60k? When I saw this one though I had to at least try. It's always been a Dream and it's very close to my new reality. Hell It's costing me another 3k to get it here and insure it for the trip. CAN NOT WAIT, It's a 4 speed manual just the very best of the best. It's a 56 year old Brand new car. Looking at it that way makes it WAY WAY easier in my head as the new 2025 Dodge Revolution Truck that were thinking of buying late this year or next is in the upper 80's in the trim we want. That though has been put on hold for um.......a little bit LOL!!!!
  16. Well reading really is a dying trend, that said I read at least a book a week. I'm an avid reader and funny thing is, I ALWAYS have been. Maybe take it in smaller bits? Maybe take the second half after your nap and snack? Just making a joke, now a'days if it's not in a video your not investing anytime into anything and I understand that. It's cool though my Daughter {turned 28 today actually} reads more than I do. She's definitely not the norm these days. I love to read but even that said the above post is a walk through my life to a point in time where I make a HUGE decision after 40 years of DREAMING! Nothing more. Thanks so much for the comment, your APPRECIATED!!
  17. So......................................... Not the worst decision you have heard of lately? Interesting!
  18. I got the one when I was 19 and decided to stop. Glad it wasn't swastikas' on both shoulders like a friend of a friend did. What a loser bad decision that was. They were thick!! He thought they were the coolest thing for about 1 day....lol Mines just a guitar wrapped with a a rose vine thorns, etc. Still looks good glad I spent the money to have a good tatooer do it. Most of us were doing them ourselves, man to be dumb young and stupid. Honest opinion as I really typed that all out to get some of the anxiety off my chest. This has been stressful actually going through with it! Think I should just delete this post? It really doesn't go here. I tend to go off the depend when texting just about anything.......I get told all the time I should write a book, shit like that. My spellings not that great but I do try and be articulate and forthcoming.....
  19. WARNING: Mid life Crisis Rant from an OLD MAN. If that sounds like something you don't need to read or experience I totally understand and recommend you swipe down to at least the next topic below. PEACE and GOOD DAY! ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................... THIS is meant to make someone laugh, take a ride down a road with a fellow board member here that's been a gamer my whole life. A very hard worker, a very good husband, a husband of 29 years. A father of 6, with now 10 grandkids. A lover of Cars, the out doors, barbeques and kayaking, walking out 14 year old German Shephard, etc, etc! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Holy Moly I do very well think I might just have made the scariest decision driven by me minds inner thought as to NOT FEEL AS OLD as I AM! I wear a T-shirt that says "It's hard to believe I'm the same age as OLD PEOPLE!" because I'm old, I JUST AM. I don't want to be old so what do I do?? Well I have pondered this very thought now for say 15 years? What can I do to make me YOUNG AGAIN? Can't chase down a young woman in her say mid twenties and sweep her off her feet, that comes with too many variables 1. Divorce, yes divorce from the woman that has stood proud by my side through some very horrific situations and NEVER once wavered. Nope this is a NO GO! The only other thing is spend money, yea SPEND A STUPID AMOUNT OF MONEY!! On something, something that would bring me back to a time once beloved. A time where I was care free and STUPID and didn't worry about anything at all ever. Except maybe was I going to run out of gas! A time before any of my KIDS, before all 6 were ever even though of...... a time say early spring 1968! Well not that far, I wasn't born then. I always thought though that I should've been born in 1968. This year in imprintented in my mind though as I was born in 1969! Yes I am 55yrs young. I was born and brought home in my fathers 1968 chevelle ss 396. I was driven everywhere in this car as a small child. Up to about 14yrs old when my dad left my mom and wasn't heard of again. He left in that very 1968chevelle ss 396. I should HATE that car, why is this car the most beautiful car that has EVER been made. It checks EVERY SINGLE BOX in mu car brain. It's my dream car. I owned a 1968 malibu when I was 17. Before I had a license. I mowed lawns, and had a paper route and I saved every penny. The time came in 1985 to buy my first car, that green 68 chevelle malibu. On top of the world and the envy of all my friends I snuck out and hit a deer on the freeway drinking causing bad damage to the cars left quarter panel, front windshield, hood, tires and linkages etc as it nearly rolled but came to rest against a tree rather abruptly. I was ok, a bit rattled. Cops were called we had been drinking, I was underage of course and put on probation and made to sell the car as a punishment also. Over the years I've seen thousands of these amazing cars. They were and STILL are very much my DREAM car. I have dreamt about owning another for now 40 years. My wife is very well aware of my attraction too. Almost 30 years to gether it's come up hundreds of times through the years. Now having raised out beautiful children, half went to collage the rest out into society and have made up proud very much. There are good kids and have rewarded us with may Grand kids like I said above. Back to the last few months leading to my 55th birthday and my wifes too as we are only 6 days apart in age. I'm a March 4th baby and she's a March 10th baby. Kinda cute in it's own way but I'm the oldest and she must respect her elders....lol Anyway, like I said I have looked at these cars many times, even thought about owning one again. They still remind me of my father, and my stupid youth and I have always wanted one. Long story I told you and if your still here I'm sure I'm going to hear about it but it's coming to the end I assure you friends!! The last 6 moths or so I have really ramped up looking for a really good representation of one of these classics and WE FOUND ONE! YES WE FOUND MY DREAM CAR a 1968 SS 396 badged but under the hood is a very modded 454 dynoed @439 HP, 411 at the wheels. That's all fine and good but 90% of these cars are fancy looking engines but are usually a polished turd. There notoriously riddled with rust issues as they leaked everywhere especially in the midwest to the east coast with all the snow and ice/salt. To find a fully Frame off restored 68 chevelle they run in the mid 60k and up depending on lots of stuff. This car was done RIGHT. It's so beautiful underneath just as much as the top and everywhere in between. This was a finished restomod in 2017 painted a beautiful Burgundy with the triditional while nose strip that runs across the front of the cars hood / nose and down the front nose edge and along the bottom of the car on out the back. It has Vintage air conditioning, the 454 motor is dressed in everyth chrome, new absolutely EVERYTHING IS brand new. headlights, all glass, all brake lines and its 4 wheel disc breaks. Power brakes and steering., Led headlights and leg gauges but in a time exact period dash. Interior is to die for all black, with all modern but time looking bucket seats, all belts even shoulder belts! It's a Hurst 4 speed manual with retro alpine sound system, brand new rubber and beautiful time specific rims not those 22" rims with stupid 1 1/2 inch tires on them these kids seem to do to everything. These are right, new and perfect. There were 3 issues. T really small blemishes on the painted hood. and the backup light don't work for some reason. This car is my dream and guess what friends.......Yea: IT"s MINE!!!! We have gone back and forth and even the Camp fire was brought up and us loosing EVERYTHING and have been struggling to start over and firmly plant our feet again. We are blessed to even be in a position to even think about this, but the timing was/is right and it's a DONE DEAL! Money wise 'll be loose and say it started out being 73k This is a very large amount of money, to anyone and yea to us especially. WE OVER A WEEK OF FACETIME AND JUST GETTING TO KNOW HIM THE PRICE WAS BROUGHT DOWN TO A NUMBER iI WAS OK WITH AND HE WAS OK WITH! Mid life crisis? Investment, investment in ME? In the end I do not know but It's a DREAM! A dream that I have DREAMPT now over 40 years! Everyday at least once I have dreamed about owning a 68 chevelle again and that dream is now a reality. Well it's paid for and headed my way. Arrival is saturday! Thoughts? Anyone else getting older and starting to feel like mid life stuff is in the mind more and more> Do you have dreams? Dreams like this that can if you work hard enough and save and live right can be obtained sooner or later. WHATS A REAL DREAM WORTH TO YOU? Thanks for taking this ride with me, the ride with me and my family in 2018 and that fucking fire. Through the Loss of our son and these boards being so fucking loving and comforting and a great place to vent and be among like minded people when we/ I NEEDED IT THE MOST. Most don't know this about me, but I'm not a part of any social media out there in anyway. I have NEVER been on facebook, snapchat, instagram, tiktok, twitter, etc. NEVER EVER! These gaming boards and you people are my only like connection to anytime of social media that I partake in and I appreciate that here I can make a post like this and it's not just sent to oblivion where no one will ever see it. It might get moved but it's ok.....I just wanted to, NO NEEDED to share! I'm getting older but am a kid at heart and I appreciate that I am a member of someplace, a member of here! Thank you guys..... MAY ALL YOUR REAL DREAMS COME TRUE!
  20. Bought Street Fighter 6. The plan is to invest some time into this this weekend.......Fingers crossed it's as good as most are saying on these boards!
  21. Yea I understood that, I was just stating that I haven't paid 70 for a game yet. Then I remembered....YES I DID! I payed 79.99 for Diablo 4. Either way this new Contra looks great I'll just check it out much later down the road!
  22. FUNNY: I saw this post and immediately remembered the game I had been trying to think of all year: Shadow Complex!! Thanks or that ! I have yet paid the "NEW GEN" upsale on games at $70. I'm not saying there not worth it but It takes me to long to even get to a newly bought game to make that price justifiable at all really. I'm just starting to realize this. That said this looks nice, I love a "GOOD" Contra game but not paying the asking price as it sits now. Will probably pic it up down the road though like most games.....
