Don’t know if I’ll enjoy the wizard combat and spells. Can you morph your wand into an SMG or LMG with attachments?

I played a couple hours last night before going to bed. I was having a blast. I was curious how the spells would work, but so far it's really intuitive. You have your basic pew-pew blasty spell that you use to deal basic damage, then special spells to do things like break armor, etc.

 

Also, the world feels so alive.  And the music is great. I may not be the biggest fan of the HP movies, but one thing those movies had was incredible music that really fits the atmosphere, and the game's music is definitely a great callback to it.

It's pretty damned good and I know nothing about Harry Potter. I haven't even done much combat, the exploration in Hogwarts alone has me hooked. I ended my session last night having just leaving the school. I'm still pretty early, but this game feels really special.

Yeah, sometimes the music comes off as just watered down/remixed tracks from the movies, but watered down John Williams is still pretty damn good.

My dad doesn't even know what a PlayStation is let alone trying to download a game for me. He did comment how amazing GOW Ragnarok looked when I was playing but he is absolutely clueless on anything videogames.

It's always awesome to see my Parent's reaction to modern videogames. When i was trapped at my parents house during the lockdown, I always got a chuckle when my mom would walk into the room while I was playing something and ask me "what are you watching?" and then watch the amazement in her eyes when she realized I was actually PLAYING the game. This happened with Ghosts of Tsushima, The Last of Us 2 and Avengers... all games I was playing when I was staying there.

I'd be curious to hear what she thinks about Chappelle? I had a coworker who transitioned some years back but we've lost touch and I don't know anybody else from that community.

We’re no longer in contact but based on my memories she’d appreciate him, especially his skit about his friend who opened for him. But I don’t want to speak for her. I didn’t exactly interrogate her based upon her identity and he never came up. I was attracted to her, I enjoyed our time together, I honestly didn’t see her as trans. Just as a girl I wanted. Which is also apparently why she liked me 😂

 

We we’re just watching a HP movie one day so this came up and we talked about it.

Well stuttering is what would happen with vsync on with gsync not working (or if you just don’t have it) and tearing is what would happen with vsync off with gsync not working I believe.
