Wow, we finally found a Trump scandal that merits the same level of coverage as "Hillary had some sus e-mail security practices"?

Tuesday's front page: "Trump's Taxes: What Did Hillary Know And When Did She Know It?"

Christ, Donald, you could've just invested in an S&P 500 index fund and you'd be INFINITELY wealthier than you are today.

That's the real scandal here:  this man has no goddamned idea what he's doing with his own money!

So is he really just an idiot, or is he doing it quite on purpose to not pay taxes - which he has no control over where that money goes (public/social programs).  It would seem like his method of pumping money into failing businesses keeps that money among the elite and out of the lower class.  His family already has a history of transferring money in a non-taxable way, as the article described.  I suppose all of this depends on how much of a biggot he is compared to how much absolute wealth he wants.

"Trump failed as a businessman, he pays less in taxes than you do, and he's destroyed the economy by failing to act on the coronavirus, killing hundreds of thousands of your fellow Americans. End the madness on November 3, and vote Joe Biden" folks if this doesn't work on the people who are somehow undecided nothing will

My guess would be a little of both.

He is probably committing fraud when it comes to overvaluing his assets when it comes to things like loans and then immediately giving a different value on those assets when it comes time to pay taxes(this is what Cohen accused him of, if I remember right).

But also, in the big picture, for a guy whose starting point was hundreds of millions of dollars illegally obtained from his dad he is such a bad businessman over decades he has come out on the negative column more than he would have if he just took that huge starting amount and "lived off the interest".

You know that person at work who runs around constantly, trying to do 20 jobs at once, but doesn't really know how to do any of them right or focus on them even of they did so they wind up doing so much work without really getting anything done?

Sounds like Trump is like a sociopathic billionaire version of that.

Yeah I just now saw the article about how he stole his dad's fortune, and then the various more reports about how racist he is.  I now think a huge portion of his drive is sociopathic.  He just really likes gaming the system and screwing people over.  He doesn't care if it screws him over a little bit so long as it screws other people over even more - he still comes out ahead.  He is perfectly fine being king of the ashes, and has no interest in bettering our communities as a whole.

Deutsche Bank! Who would have seen this coming?!?!?!!?

Deutsche Bank is absolutely trapped in a "vicious" cycle with its loans to him:  if they don't lend him more money, then he will definitely default on their currently outstanding loans to him so they would rather lend him the money to at least keep the interest payments flowing in which increases the risk that he will default on their loans to him, etc.

The old “ were in too deep now, so fuck it” method of running a bank.
