I agree that the distinction is largely being lost, but when it comes to Trump's business debts, the question isn't about what legal entity is responsible for the debt as much as what personal incentives the existence of the debt creates for Trump as President.

 

So while that distinction is important, it doesn't really matter in the context of these stories.
