Very underrated game that won many GOTY awards.

Really? I honestly never take notice on game awards and such. Well, it's a game that from my perspective wasn't commercially advertised and has an 82 average at metacritic. I'm glad it got goty nods cause it's a great game.

I think the low scores were mainly from technical issues that no longer exsist on the newer consoles and high end PCs.

So have you decided what your object of power is yet?

Finally. . . FINALLY finished Assassins Creed Odyssey; that game seemed neverending, not going anywhere near Valhalla; just can't do another one anytime soon.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey can be finished? :o I’ve played it for roughly 90 hours now, and there’s no end in sight. But I’m not complaining, because I’m enjoying living as a mercenary for hire in its big gorgeous world.

Finally sat down and put some time into Midnight Club: LA

I had casually tried it before and turned away due to its “quirks”.., I finally put some focus and time into it and am now hooked on it.. its a nice break/alternative from Horizon 4..

The LA map itself is inconsequential since it flies by so fast, but its still a solid game

Finally completed Control. I definitely really liked the game as a whole, although it would never be my GOTY for 2019. It would be a fantastic game though to 100% if I was so inclined as bumping up my stats at the end made the game even more fun.

FF7 is downloading and I’ve got Undertale (last boss) and Golf Story to see off - then Hades!

Update: played the first chapter of FF7 and so far, so good. There’s something lovely about playing a full on AAA game. I’m not loving the install though that has stopped me playing.

I ended up getting really into Shadow Tactics: Blades Of The Shogun.

This really is a stellar game despite the rather unwieldy console controls. I assume this was designed for M+K controls initially. But jesus christ, the level design, amount of variety, atmosphere and basically everything in this is so cool. The merciless difficulty really adds to it ultimately and the puzzle box nature of each level makes this incredibly addictive to me. Great game.

Thanks for the impressions, I bought it recently during a PS Store sale so I’m glad to hear that it delivers. Based on what you’ve said about it I might play it sooner rather than later, that’s if I ever finish Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. :p

FF7 is having that wonderful effect that I think about playing it when I’m not. I’ve played 1 hour 40 minutes today and made it to Section 7.

The last game I had this vibe was The Last of Us: Part 2 and Death Stranding. Both games that I really enjoyed - so that bodes well.

Still playing Wolfenstein Colossus and I may be getting close to the end. If anyone played it I'm currently

Spoiler

On Venus

It's picked up a bit and has been pretty fun. However, I'm still really disappointed in the enemy AI. I'm still kinda rushing my way through since I paid for it. Oh well I guess.

It's incredibly addictive and great but can be punishing and sometimes frustrating in equal measures. I never played the Commandos games back in the day so this genre is totally new to me but I'm hooked. I thought it'd simply be a stealth game but it's more like...Hyper Stealth: Turbo Edition. I guess it's described as a 'stealth oriented real-time tactics' game. It's one of those games that makes you feel cool as fuck when you finally get the hang of it and pull off some seemingly impossible infiltration.

I also bought it during the PS sale and only meant to pop in real quick to check it out and have been playing it every day now. Yesterday's mission took me 3 hours lol

Ratchet & Clank (2016)

Playing a bunch of them, unless I'm burned out (usually I'm not for this series) in anticipation for Rift Apart soon. It's been too long.

I think I’ve actually got the first three on the PS2 sitting in my wardrobe, thoroughly unplayed but hoarded nonetheless.

Godfall. I caved and bought it on sale. Why did I just buy this friggin game.:|

Should have listened to reviews.

Reviews are worthless.  Just some persons opinions. Pro Tip: Listen to your own opinions

My opinion is this game sucks. It's a glorified mobile game with no identity and no soul.

Reviews were right this time I'm afraid.

@ShreddieMercuryRising I beat Wolfenstein Colossus this evening. Took 12 hours and overall I'd say I was pleased. The visuals, controls, characters, and story were all pretty damn good. It's definitely got high production values and I can't stress enough how amazing it looks for a 2017 game. I was a bit bored halfway through but it picked up and I really loved the ending! That was exactly how I wanted it to end. For a FPS, it's a quality title and thanks for the recommendation.

As I mentioned before, the main flaw with the game is the enemy AI. I played on the normal difficulty setting and really didn't have much of a challenge. The enemies just run up to you with no strategy and I just blew them away. I'd sit in corners and they would just keep coming around the corner shooting like idiots right after seeing their good buddy die in front of them.

Minus that, I had fun so that's all that matters.

After I beat that I started back up on Valhalla and it reads I'm 40 hours into that. Coming back to it felt great and I love this game. However, Valhalla suffers from the same issue Colossus does. The enemy AI is brain dead and so are your allies. Can't win them all, I guess. :)

Disco Elysium -  Everyone and their mother hyped this up, but some perspectives in the games industry I respect didn't care for it at all so I had no expectations. After playing three-five hours my initial take is I don't think I've felt as engaged by writing and dialogue trees in a game before.

Katamari Damacy - Holds up even better now. Got to the ending a while back so mostly replaying levels but have two unplayed side missions to come back to later.

Turok - slowly but surely making my way through it, checkpoints are brutal. Just beat the first boss. Playing a fast and fun ID software-esque shooter with N64 graphics is refreshing nowadays I gotta say.

Oddworld Soulstorm - Had no idea it was a direct sequel to New and Tasty and a reimagining/soft reboot of Abe's Exodus until today. It'll be cool to see if we  get that quintology after all.

Mon Hun Rise. Finally defeated Magnamalo. Now onto the 5 Star village quests. Also ran a few Hub quests with randoms. Online is lag free which was surprising because there is a lot happening on the screen with 4 players and 4 Palamutes or Palicoes hacking away at a monster.
