As someone who has been to Japan a number of times, yes, you can absolutely "wander" onto a floor that is dedicated to porn. Hell, if you go to a store and the floor guide says "PC Games" they ain't selling Steam gift cards up there, it's all hentai dating sims.

He did a podcast where his primary cohost was a pretty big chud and all they did was debate. It was funny sometimes but the cohost was annoying AF. Can’t remember his name or even the name of the podcast. It’s been like 10 years.

Well y'all, starting September I am no longer a meteorologist.

 

Straight reporting and anchoring. The transition will be complete.

 

I've been wanting to transition out of weather for a couple years now. Honestly, my forecasts are good and clear, but there's a certain creativeness you only get from telling a story. Every award I've won has been from reporting, so it was a long time coming. But it's kind of scary: turning a story a day during the week is going to be a big transition. I've always been more of a special projects man doing longer form stuff, so this is going to be a big change for me.

So I set an appointment for today, last week, with the cable company. They were supposed to come out and are going to run a new cable. I'm sitting around waiting and they aren't showing up so I think, "do I have the wrong day?" so I contact them and they tell me it has been rescheduled to next week. Well isn't part of the rescheduling actually contacting the person and rescheduling with them? I feel like this is a reverse Seinfeld episode @SaysWho?

Yeah that's some shit. And I'm sure complaining to them or demanding compensation will be effective, right? :silly:

Sounds like a reverse Seinfeld episode and also the cable/Disney+ South Park episode.

It's the damnedest thing. I might be the only one around here who has it too. I live in a condo so there are lots of people here but when internet trouble spring up I'm the one who ends up calling - (I don't talk to anyone else but I would imagine if they had the same issues as me they would have inquired sooner than I have) - Also FYI I only have cable for internet.

 

At the beginning of the year I was getting disconnected like twice an hour. I called the dudes to come out and it turns out there was a splitter on the box outside or something which was screwing things up. So then I had some issues a couple weeks ago and they said something about some noise suppressor was on there and they want to run a new line. But to schedule it it's a weird procedure, you don't do it through the cable company customer service, they have to call you in a window. So they called me and were like, "we've been trying to call you" (and I'm thinking no shit but you can't just call me at random times of the day and expect me to answer.) So on this call that's when we set up the day. They called the next day but didn't leave a voice mail or send an email or anything (in fact every time they called they never left a voice mail).

 

So I hope by next week all these kinks are ironed out.

 

Demanding compensation, I hate those kinds of people. I just told the lady thanks for telling me it was rescheduled.

Sad pandas, I went to buy Scotch at the duty free and they're like oh no you don't have time your gate is closing. So I go to the hot humid cramped gate and 25 minutes later they're still letting people through security (at the Singapore airport security is right at the gate). And of course just ringing me up would have taken the same amount of time it took them to argue with me about it (and I explicitly said to them, the gate is right next to this store, I only don't have time if you stand here insisting I don't have time instead of just selling me the Scotch).

I've been holding off on posting this for a while now but... I have a 2nd miniature clone on the way. She is due to arrive in about a month. This will 100% be the last minion, wife no longer jokes about having a 3rd after going through this one. Kind of crazy the two kid's birthdays will only be weeks apart (sure bound to suck for some years but also good for doing major family trip as a bday gift in some years) and they will be almost 2 years apart in age. At least this go around we have a night nurse so I won't be up all night doing night shift. =/

My daughters have their birthday one day apart, but they are five year’s different. Might be easier for me since they’re so different in age but we are/will be making a point to make their specific day special to each of them individually and then parties will be on different weekends. Probably won’t have their actual parties on their birthday to avoid that fight but we haven’t had that issue yet

I should note on the close birthdays. I don't think they will be a huge issue and I think in some years it will be great because we can say maybe go on a family trip to disney as apart of their birthdays. It's more just interesting they are ending up so close together when we never really planned for them to end up that way. We're more focused on making sure that the older one won't feel left out over the coming months with her new sister arriving. :)

My second and third were born on June 2nd and June 7th two years apart.
