PaladinSolo
2 LV cops shot attempting an arrest last night, 1 fatally another critically, its going to be so much worse if this dies down and people murder police sitting in their cars cause if you think about it the protesters killed that man. Remarkableriots
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/las-vegas-police-officer-shot-head/ Quote What the local sheriff says were two protest-related shootings in Las Vegas Monday night left a Las Vegas police officer on life support and resulted in the death of a suspect at another scene. Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Joe Lombardo told reporters in an overnight briefing that the demonstrations "led to" both incidents. He said officers were attempting to disperse a large crowd of demonstrators in front of the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino on the Vegas Strip and were being hit with rocks and bottles form the crowd. While trying to detain some people, Lombado said, "a shot rang out and our officer went down." The officer was on life support and a suspect was in custody.

They may be stripped for parts. More likely, they will be quickly dumped over fears there is some form of tracking in place. This is Apple after all. Looting apart, the theft of high-end phones—with iPhones top of the list—has been an issue in major cities for years. Apple has taken step after step to try to render its devices worthless once taken, including the sticky “Find My” functionality that enables users to track down an iPhone. “If your device goes missing,” Apple says “put it in Lost Mode to lock it immediately and start tracking its location.” For users that do lose their iPhones, Apple provides useful tips as to what to do next. But for those considering stealing one from its stores, the advice is much more simple—don’t. It will not work and may lead to an unwelcome knock on the door. Commissar SFLUFAN
Civil rights leaders say they’re ‘disappointed and stunned’ after call with Facebook’s Zuckerberg and Sandberg (CNBC) Quote Civil rights leaders who spoke with Mark Zuckerberg said they are shocked by the Facebook CEO’s refusal to take action against an incendiary post by President Donald Trump that Twitter obscured with a warning label. Leaders of three civil rights groups — Color of Change, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund — released the statement after a Monday night Zoom call with Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg. “We are disappointed and stunned by Mark’s incomprehensible explanations for allowing the Trump posts to remain up,” wrote the leaders, Rashad Robinson of Color of Change, Vanita Gupta of the Leadership Conference and Sherrilyn Ifill of LDF. “He did not demonstrate understanding of historic or modern-day voter suppression and he refuses to acknowledge how Facebook is facilitating Trump’s call for violence against protesters. Mark is setting a very dangerous precedent for other voices who would say similar harmful things on Facebook.” Hardly comes as a surprise.

CitizenVectron
5 minutes ago, SlipperySlope said: BlackFacePresident I saw a post on Resetera the other day saying that Trudeau was just as bad as Trump because of the brown face. It's like, yeah, he's a white, privileged, and rich guy, and clearly he did not see or care what he was doing was wrong. On the other hand, he's publicly acknowledged that was he did was racist, that he did not even understand his privilege, and as a politician he's been fighting for minority rights. He is not perfect, or even close to it (no Canadian politician is, especially on the issue of Indigenous rights), but he's also probably the most pro-immigrant PM since his father. So I think it's important to take into account his brownface as a part of his character, but also not use it entirely to dismiss his other actions.
