Mueller Season 3: The End Game

Recommended Posts

Republicans in charge of Senate investigation say "no direct evidence of collusion".

Democrats in charge of Senate investigation say "nah duh, you were never going to find that."

And nothing of value was gained.

I just watched the Netflix documentary on Roger Stone. What amazed me was listening to Stone, listening to Manafort, and loling at their positions now.

Stone especially reminds me of some arrogant middle schooler.

This thread is like the yin to the RGB thread's yang.

Every time I see that thread bumped I hyperventilate, and every time I see this thread bumped I cum.

So the question is, is the report actually complete or is Barr ordering an end to the investigation? And it is being reported that he will provide a "summary of the report to Congress. So should we expect most of it to be covered up?

CNN sounds confident it was already coming to a close, or a few speculated it was already finished, and they were waiting for a Senate confirmed AG to deliver the final report.

Trump may have screwed himself either way.

Either the results will be outright damning, or he just spent the past two years ensuring that the 55-60% of America that doesn't already worship him will be skeptical of a report that exonerates him(or at least doesn't prove his guilt).

I tend to think that if Mueller can't make the case it is probably unmakeable. But even as someone who is inclined to take Mueller's word for it, all of Trump's obstruction makes anything but a damning report hard to square with the facts. If Mueller doesn't nail Trump, Congressional Democrats first move should be to bring Mueller to a hearing and get firsthand assurances that Mueller is 100% confident that his investigation was not obstructed, whether by Trump, Barr, or any of the other cavalcade of idiots.

That all said, if the investigation is wrapping up that probably means an indictment for Trump Jr. if not Kush and others. Nader or Schiff(don't remember which one) all but confirmed that if Cohen lied to Congress than Jr. had to have, as well. If Mueller doesn't indict him that means Jr. is getting preferential treatment just because his daddy would throw a tantrum(though, to be fair, maybe he is letting someone else doing the charging like he has with SDNY, but it really does seem like lying to Congress is in Mueller's wheelhouse in this instance).
