Trump is already crying about the judge and he hasn’t been before her yet.

You can tell that Trump is terrified of Smith.

Because his world is purely a transactional one, he doesn't really understand these Justice Department guys who actually believe in things like rule of law. But he knows a bulldog when he sees one.

Trump may have technically violated the Constitution, but that's not against the law argues his lawyer....

Quote

“A technical violation of the Constitution is not a violation of criminal law," Lauro contended, calling it "just plain wrong" to suggest that Trump had pressed Pence to break the law.

Boy, Trump is just breaking out all the Arrested Development memes lately, ain't he?

It’s been a few years, but I don’t remember him attacking Mueller like this.

IMO Trump is desperately trying to provoke the judge because he is terrified of her more than Jack Smith.

Its why hes been going off way more lately. He thinks Cannon has his back (and hes probably right)

He’s also particularly shitty, even by his standards, towards women and people of color who hold power

March 2024 is great if it holds.  One way or another, at least one criminal trial will be complete before the election - heck it may even be complete by the time the party conventions take place in the Summer.  If he is convicted in the DC case, that would give the GOP the opportunity to choose a different candidate to run in November, assuming Trump runs the board during the primaries.

No need for Cannon to make her play now.. you wait until near May of next year to do your nonsense, that in itself may be enough of a ruckus to force a delay until later.. its too soon now..

though I personally cling to my theory that she will edge the rule of law to “disqualify/minimize” the most damning evidence against Trump to remain on the case and carry him to the end and ultimately give him a slap on the wrist

Couldn't she just dismiss the case "with prejudice" at sometime before a verdict is rendered?  I think the DoJ would be able to appeal to the circuit court, but it would basically start the entire process all over again.

She isn’t making any plays. She filucked up, had her hands slapped, and won’t do it again.

hell, I believe she was even assigned a “mentor” justice to keep her from screwing up, but I could have misunderstood that.

He was using the classified documents as scrap paper.

ABCNEWS.GO.COM

A long-time assistant to former President Trump told investigators that Trump wrote to-do lists for her on documents that were marked classified, sources say.
