Someone tried to kill a cop and they are still handling them with kid gloves. Just imagine if an Indigenous/Black drive of the country's border involved protestors trying to kill a cop. Just imagine. As a resident of downtown Ottawa, that is her perspective on what it has been like for her. Even before the pandemic downtown Ottawa was often referred to as the "city/town that fun forgot". When you lose all of the commuters, those areas can get pretty barren because it doesn't have the other things to do that places like downtown Toronto or Montreal have.
