Kind of hard to have an honest discussion with people who start with the assumption that Russians crappy ads had a meaningful impact on the election

It's a pretty commonly accepted argument at this point that Russia interfered in the election; presumably significantly enough that it had to be made known to the public that they interfered with the election.

Proving whether a disinformation campaign was successful is in the ending - Trump won the election - ergo, Russian ads contributed to it. Primarily contirbuted? Perhaps not, but certainly contributed. Are you denying it even had a role to play?

You’ve posted pictures of yourself wearing a suit with shoulder pads and doing hover hands.  Maybe you shouldn’t post things like this.

I look damn fine in a suit. Maybe you're talking about suits worn 10 years ago?

I've no doubt I look better than you and that you're ridiculed a lot. This is your release to just be a dick without having to look someone in the eye.

Until there's proof of something more than negligible influence, the Russian conspiracy is nothing more than a distraction for liberals who want to forget that they lost to a reality tv star

Elizabeth Warren is proposing that the government manufacture generic drugs.

Quote

The Affordable Drug Manufacturing Act would allow the Department of Health and Human Services to step in where the market has failed. HHS would manufacture or contract for the manufacture of generic drugs in cases in which no company is manufacturing a drug, when only one or two companies manufacture a drug and its price has spiked, when the drug is in shortage, or when a medicine listed as essential by the World Health Organization faces limited competition and high prices.

Obviously no way it passes anytime soon, but the idea has pretty broad public support.

I mean...progressives also lost to a reality TV star, and also to the candidate that lost to the reality tv star. Your point? My main takeaway isn't anything in particular about the campaign of Hillary Clinton, but rather than the American public is really, really dumb.

"Negligible" is variable - I'm not sure what that means to you, but to me that means it had little to no impact. That doesn't track with what the reporting has been on this the last two years: https://www.cnn.com/2018/12/16/media/reliable-sources-12-16-18/index.html

No one is saying there weren't bigger factors that need to be addressed that caused the Democrats to lose 2016. But to suggest social media propaganda didn't have some effect on the 2016 election due to modern technology then I think you're intentionally ignoring how things have been reported these past two years on this issue.

Beto represented a safe blue district but still voted with Republicans.

I hate that shit. I feel like there's not one Republican in a safe GOP district that would even vote only 60% with Trump.

Good news, @SFLUFAN!

Well, everyone was complaining that we had six in 2016. With the amount of candidates we're looking at, this is probably for the better.
