Both betting correctly on the Feature Game and being one of two players to divine all the crazy results this weekend in Question 5 allows AbsolutSurgen to maintain his position atop the leaderboard!  But with 3 weeks to, several players in striking distance, and questions getting more valuable can he hold on to the end?  Let's find out!

 

########## WILD CARD RESULTS ##########

 

Feature Game: Minnesota Vikings (+7.5) at New Orleans Saints
The Minnesota Vikings upset the hosting Saints by a score of 33.5(26+7.5)-20 to advance to the Divisional round of the playoffs!

 

QUESTIONS

1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Vikings TD, Vikings FG, Vikings safety, Saints TD, Saints FG, Saints safety, or other? ($4,000 for the correct call)
The first score in this one was a New Orleans field goal; a 29 yarder hit by Willy Lutz in the first quarter. Nobody called this one; literally every player guessed a Saints TD.

 

2) How many total turnovers (combined/both teams) will occur in the Feature Game? ($4,000 for the right number)
A pair of fumbles and an INT put the total turnovers in the Feature Game at 3.

 

3) Of the 4 Wild Card games this weekend, how many will be decided by 8 or fewer points? ($3,000 for the correct number)
All of them.  In a Wild Card weekend that saw four close contests including two games going to OT, in the end every game was decided by a single posession. thewhyteboar and Keyser_Soze were the only players to foresee how competitive this weekend would get.

 

4) Which team this weekend will be the most heavily penalized, by number of penalties (not yards). ($3,000 for the right team)
Seattle was flagged 11 times on Sunday Night; the only team to break double-digit penalties over Wild Card weekend. Nobody guessed the Seahawks.

 

5) Call the winners:
Buffalo at Houston
Tennessee at New England
Seattle at Philadelphia
($3,000 for EACH correct named game winner, $6,000 bonus if you call all 3 correctly)
Both thewhyteboar and AbsolutSurgen saw the upsets happening and called all three games correctly to earn the bonus!

 

6) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards over Wild Card Weekend. ($12,000 for each player named correctly, $24,000 bonus if both names are called)
Derrick Henry put up 182 yards nearly doubling the next closest runner while DK Metcalf sped his way to 160 yards in the air to lead all receivers. A few players called Henry, but nobody called Metcalf.

(Remember you are betting against the spread)

 

QUESTIONS

1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Seahawks TD, Seahawks FG, Seahawks safety, Packers TD, Packers FG, Packers safety, or other? ($5,000 for the correct call)

 

2) Which team in the Feature Game will have the most time of posession? ($4,000 for the right number)

 

3) How many missed field goals (not PATs) do we see this weekend? ($7,000 for the correct number)

 

4) Houston @ Kansas City: Over or Under 48.5 points? ($4,000 for the right guess)

 

5) Call the winners:
Minnesota at San Francisco
Tennessee at Baltimore
Houston at Kansas City
($5,000 for EACH correct named game winner, $10,000 bonus if you call all 3 correctly)

 

6) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in the Divisional Round. ($10,000 for each player named correctly, $15,000 bonus if both names are called)

A minus spread means that team is favored and plus spread means they are the underdogs.

 

-4.5 means Green Bay would have to win by 4.5 ( 5) points over Seattle for you to win the bet

And if Seattle would have to not lose by more than 4 points for you to win if you pick Seattle.
