With the week's only correct bet on the Feature Game and being the only player to hit the Question 5 bonus, AbsolutSurgen surges ahead to take command of the leaderboard as we say goodbye to the regular season and enter the playoffs! We're in the home stretch as only 4 weeks remain in the MGT!  Put on your thinking caps and make those bets count!

 

########## WEEK 17 RESULTS ##########

 

Feature Game: San Francisco 49'ers (-3.5) at Seattle Seahawks
The Niners beat the Seahawks by a score of 22.5(26-3.5)-21 to secure their seeding in the post-season.  Bets on San Fran win. AbsolutSurgen was the only player to place a winning bet on the 49'ers.

 

QUESTIONS

1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Niners TD, Niners FG, Niners safety, Seahawks TD, Seahawks FG, Seahawks safety, or other? ($3,500 for the correct call)
Robbie Gould hit a 47 yard field goal for the 49'ers in the first quarter to start the ball rolling in the Feature Game.  Calls on a niners FG get it.

 

2) Which team in the Feature Game will have the most different players credited with positive rushing yards? ($2,500 for the correct team or correctly guessing a tie)
San Francisco had 6 players credited with positive rushing yards to Seattle's 3. Guesses for SF get this one.

 

3) Name the quarterback that will throw for the FEWEST yards in Week 17 (minimum 8 pass attempts). ($5,000 for the correct name)
Rookie quarterback Will Grier just barely got in 8 pass attempts for a whopping 4 yards before exiting the game with a foot injury.  Nobody called Grier.

 

4) No time to read: Name the player that, from snap to tackle, has the fastest sack of Week 17. ($5,000 for the right name)
With the fastest sack by half-a-second, Houston's Briean Boddy-Calhoun flys in to make the backfield tackles in a ridiculous 1.47 seconds.

 

5) Call the winners:
NY Jets at Buffalo
Chicago at Minnesota
Pittsbugh at Baltimore
($3,000 for EACH correct named game winner, $6,000 bonus if you call all 3 correctly)
AbsolutSurgen crushed Question #5 in the final week of the regular season, being the only player to nail all 3 games and earn the bonus!

 

6) Going into this final week there are 3 teams, the Steelers, Raiders and Cowboys, who need various scenarios to happen in order for them to make the playoffs. When the dust settles from Week 17, how many of them make it in? ($3,500 for the right guess)
Sadly none of these teams had the chips fall their way in Week 17.  Zero is the right call.

 

7) Final Week Touchdowns: Name any game AND a player who will score a touchdown in that game. ($5,000 for a correct combination).
If anyone had called a correct combo, they would've gotten it.  But nobody did.

 

8) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in week seventeen. ($15,000 for each player named correctly, $30,000 bonus if both names are called)
Derrick Henry went off for 211 yards on the ground while DeVante Parker pulled in 137 through the air to lead all ball carriers in Week 17.  Only thewhyteboar called Henry's number to earn the rushing title cash.  Nobody called both for the bonus.

(Remember you are betting against the spread)

 

QUESTIONS

Playoffs note: Fewer games means fewer questions!  Make the most of them!  Also the weekly rushing/receiving title question award and bonus is scaled back as there are now 20 fewer team rosters of players to choose from.  Let's do this!  Post-season GO!!

2) How many total turnovers (combined/both teams) will occur in the Feature Game? ($4,000 for the right number)

 

3) Of the 4 Wild Card games this weekend, how many will be decided by 8 or fewer points? ($3,000 for the correct number)

 

4) Which team this weekend will be the most heavily penalized, by number of penalties (not yards). ($3,000 for the right team)

 

5) Call the winners:
Buffalo at Houston
Tennessee at New England
Seattle at Philadelphia
($2,500 for EACH correct named game winner, $5,000 bonus if you call all 3 correctly)

 

6) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards over Wild Card Weekend. ($12,000 for each player named correctly, $24,000 bonus if both names are called)
