With a winning bet on the Feature Game and doing pretty well in the Question, thewhyteboar surges ahead to claim the top spot going into the final week of the regular season.  Nobody can rest easy though, as the competition continues into the playoffs and the title of MGT Champion is still anyone's to win!

 

########## WEEK 16 RESULTS ##########

 

Feature Game: Houston Texans (-2.5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Texans just edged out the Bucs by a score of 20.5(23-2.5)-20.  By a half-point margin, bets on Houston win.

 

QUESTIONS

1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Texans TD, Texans FG, Texans safety, Buccaneers TD, Buccaneers FG, Buccaneers safety, or other? ($3,000 for the correct call)
Fairbairn hit a 32 yarder in the first quarter to start the scoring in the Feature Game.  Calls on a Texans FG win.

 

2) Which team in the Feature Game will complete passes to the most DIFFERENT targets? ($2,500 for the correct team or correctly guessing a tie)
The Texans completed passes to 7 different receivers while the Bucs got completions to 8 of 'em. Guesses on Tampa get it.

 

3) Name any two receivers that will BOTH catch over 100 yards in passes this week. ($3,000 for two correct players)
Jones, Thomas, Boyd, McCaffrey, Woods, Adams, Parker, Beasley, Renfrow, Higbee and Perriman all went for over 100 yards. While several players got one, nobody got two.

 

4) They make me nervous holding the ball out like that.  Name one quarterback that fumbles this week. ($3,000 for a right name)
In a pretty good week for quarterback grip strength, only Darnold, Dalton and Jackson put one on the ground. Nobody called any of these players.

 

5) Call the winners:
Dallas at Philadelphia
New York Giants at Washington
Cincinati at Miami
($2,500 for EACH correct named game winner, $5,000 bonus if you call all 3 correctly)

No bonus awarded.

 

6) Will any single player tally 3 or more rushing touchdowns in Week 16? ($2,500 for the right guess)
Five players came close with 2, but no runner managed to cross the goal line 3 times.

 

7) Making 'em miss: Name the player that will record the most Yards After Catch on a single play in Week 15. ($5,000 for the correct name).
Austin Ekeler caught a short pass from Rivers and with some terrific blocking from his outside line, took it to the house for a touchdown tallying 85 YAC in a single play, the longest of Week 16. thewhyteboar was the only player to somehow see this one coming!

 

8) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in week fifteen. ($10,000 for each player named correctly, $20,000 bonus if both names are called)
Barkley rushed for 189 to lead all runners (bleh) while Julio Jones pulled down 166 through the air to lead the receivers.  Keyser_Soze called Barkley, earning a quick $10k.  Nobody called Jones so no bonus awarded.

1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Niners TD, Niners FG, Niners safety, Seahawks TD, Seahawks FG, Seahawks safety, or other? ($3,500 for the correct call)

 

2) Which team in the Feature Game will have the most different players credited with positive rushing yards? ($2,500 for the correct team or correctly guessing a tie)

 

3) Name the quarterback that will throw for the FEWEST yards in Week 17 (minimum 8 pass attempts). ($5,000 for the correct name)

 

4) No time to read: Name the player that, from snap to tackle, has the fastest sack of Week 17. ($5,000 for the right name)

 

5) Call the winners:
NY Jets at Buffalo
Chicago at Minnesota
Pittsbugh at Baltimore
($3,000 for EACH correct named game winner, $6,000 bonus if you call all 3 correctly)

 

6) Going into this final week there are 3 teams, the Steelers, Raiders and Cowboys, who need various scenarios to happen in order for them to make the playoffs. When the dust settles from Week 17, how many of them make it in? ($3,500 for the right guess)

 

7) Final Week Touchdowns: Name any game AND a player who will score a touchdown in that game. ($5,000 for a correct combination).

 

8) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in week seventeen. ($15,000 for each player named correctly, $30,000 bonus if both names are called)
