I look forward to giving up on these games after 10 minutes :p

I somehow was determined to beat Castlevania III a few years back...and did it. I have no idea what kind of demonic possession enabled this because goddamn, it's straight up unfair half the time.

Isn't SOTN missing the original dubbing track? What else makes it shitty before I accidentally bite one day in a bout of confusion

Actually that's about it. Other than that it's just the lack of anything else they included. Like no art or anything cool. It's just the game. Which is cool, it's still great. But it seems like a better collection is coming.

I’m down for Castlevania collections. I hope since this should feature most of the earlier ones and they are doing multiple ones that a ds/gba one really will be a thing. I’d pay $40 for one that had the 6 gba/ds games, sotn, and dracula x. That would be maybe my favorite collections ever and it fits the 8 games theme.

A DS/GBA collection would be fucking amazing actually. I really love Circle Of The Moon, only recently found out it's not very highly regarded.

I was hoping for Contra (NES) to make it in, but I see this is just the arcade version again. Is there a rights issue to the NES game or something? Did Konami lose the game in a dusty attic or something? C'mon man, I need my NES Contra!

I suppose I could just plug in my modded NES Classic   But I would like the Xbox achievements lol

Also, I wouldn't mind seeing the PS2 Contra in there (I don't remember the name...Shattered Soldier maybe?).

It's Shattered Soldier, and it was so good.

What's the difference between the NES and arcade versions? I feel it's usually best to get arcade versions of games, like with Mortal Kombat. However, TMNT2 has added/different stuff from the arcade version, so I can see both being good to have.

The levels were different in the arcade Contra. Not only that but since the arcades were designed to munch quarters, Contra Arcade always felt cheap. I've had Contra on 360 since it released to Live Arcade way back in the day, and I've never really liked it. Give me NES Contra any day.

Yeah, agreed. I have both the arcade and NES versions of Contra on DS/3DS, and I much prefer the NES version. Not that the arcade game isn't fun, but like you said; it's cheap.
