Jason
Simone Biles offered coloring book, mistaken for child on flight WWW.FOX7AUSTIN.COM A flight attendant apparently mistook seven-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles for a child and offered her a coloring book on a recent flight.
Mr.Vic20
My first thought is, how tall is Simone Biles? Edit: Ah, well there you go: Biles, who stands at 4-foot-8 inches, made a face in disbelief.
Ghost_MH
I'm going to mark this off as a win for black folks. Usually, black kids aren't actually treated like, you know, kids.
TwinIon
I would be surprised if this kind of thing doesn't happen relatively often for her. I know a couple women who are consistently assumed to be nearly 20 years younger than they are. One was just telling me the other day that it comes in handy when solicitors ask her if her parents are home and she can honestly tell them no.

b_m_b_m_b_m
Knowing that I don’t let facts get in the way of a good story, that reminds me of a comment from coach Steve Spurrier when he heard that a library at Auburn had burned down. He said something to the effect that it was a terrible shame, a real tragedy…especially considering half the pages in that library hadn’t been colored in yet

World beating or not, most people don’t know who she is and couldn't pick her out of a lineup, unless they are a fan of the Olympics. CitizenVectron
At best, the average person can probably identify something like 5-10 athletes in-person. And those are going to be in professional sports, not Olympic-style sports.

unogueen
keep falling your swords idiots. It's not like the olympics have ever created enduring athletes, just something you do on the side while working at a supermarket. It's not like she was lauded in particular, like phelps.
