Chris-
Having now seen it with my own eyes, I think that PS5 tracking might be slightly suspect...It says I have 100+ hours in Bloodborne, but I’m pretty sure my save file is like 60 hours. That said, the online stuff is certainly tolerable if you're like me and mostly avoid online shooters. It's cooperative (unless you want to play the vs. mode), and most players know what they're doing. Make sure to get Left 4 Dead 2 since they ported all of the Left 4 Dead 1 maps into the game along with all of the bonus DLC and such. I still prefer the first game for some key balancing reasons (and the maps are much, much better), but the second game is the one with the largest and most active community. I consider it one of the best, most fun, simple, and tightly designed games ever made. Nahhh... Just wait for Back 4 Blood (which is in beta if you have a pc). Game is awesome. Pretty sure the system counts paused time and the like. As long as the game is booted, the clock ticks.
brandino
I have over 200 hours in Shogun 2:Total War. I haven't been able to put anywhere near that much time into anything else
chakoo
I'm sure my play log for Animal Crossing New Leaf (3ds) is quite high but I wouldn't find that too surprising. So maybe Roller Coaster Tycoon 1? I somehow spent easily over 50h on was was a simple 1h demo, just replaying it over and over again till I was able to buy the game. When I got the game I also put way too much time into it. Me and a friend even tried to co develop a theme park and would send the save files back and forth as we worked on it. Paperclyp
Someone mentioned Battlefield 4 - oddly I loved that game and probably played it more than any other shooter last gen (other than PUBG I guess, almost seems like different gens to me). Other than that games I know are high are Diablo 3, Smash Melee in college, I'm perpetually playing a Souls game, PUBG, I think Halo Reach is probably up there... hmmm. Not sure what else. Def Skyrim. Beat GTA 5 3 times I think. Black Ops 2 is probably up there. I'm sure I'm forgetting some obvious ones.
Keyser_Soze
I put 404 hours into Animal Crossing. I know this says I played other games but trust me, I didn't.

Littleronin
Yakuza: Like a Dragon springs to mind that I would be surprised about the amount of time dumped into it. Things like Animal Crossing I expect but I didn't think I would have a save file approaching 100+ hours in Yakuza.
gamer.tv
To actually contribute to the thread, Inthink my agents of War 3 and Halo Reach playtime’s were both in the high tens. They were my go-to online games for about two years and I’d play them most days with a good binge on the weekends. I miss being great at a game - currently I’m just not shit at Rocket League. Nokt
I can't really pin anything down that would surprise me with the amount of time I put in. All of my high time games are for the most part expected, unless you count amnesia where I have some ridiculous time spent. I think it was from a friend not quitting the game and it stayed on for a few days. From memory though I spent a good chuck of time playing Battlefield 3 back in the day, which is surprising because I'm not huge on modern combat games. I also got all the achievements for Battlefield 1943, man I miss that game.
CitizenVectron
A game I didn't expect to love but have been playing almost daily is Apex Legends. I skipped it on launch but finally got around to it last year...wow, it's quite good now, and is improving all the time. The new map and character for Season 8 (Olympus and Horizon, respectively) are amazing. The constant addition of new characters and events is great, and the gameplay loop is really solid. Definitely my favourite battle royal game.
Chris-
I’ve put 80 hours into Mario Kart 8 since March, which is definitely not something I would have predicted pre-pandemic.
Dre801
I put a hell of a lot of time into the first WipeOut on PS1. Played it daily for months.

I did the same with Tony Hawk in college. Every day after school in college, we'd roll a few joints and then four of us would play for hours. The next year I went to the military, we didn't play a lot of games there until Halo released. After that, suddenly, every room in the barracks had an Xbox with 4 controllers.
