  1. Now that I think about it I never did anything from the pre-order bonuses either. Though Amazon shipped my game 5 days late and I was already almost done with the game by that point.
  2. I'm basically holding out for DDR5 at this point. This SSD business is just making it easier to hold off.
  3. I asked (I think) Max Hoberman after a pax panel if they ever thought about implementing button combos into future titles. I was told it wasn't ever on the table because they wanted the games to be as accessible as possible. Which is disappointing, but understandable.
  4. I really liked what I played of Mafia 2, but never finished it. Will definitely pick up on launch.
  5. I tested the Xbox Game Streaming a long time ago. I could immediately tell there was a delay in my inputs in Halo 5. That said it wasn’t unplayable or even horrible. It’s not something I’d go into PvP with, but for general PvE content in Destiny it would probably be fine. Even with that, there are plenty of games on my PC where I wouldn’t need the preciseness of an FPS like playing For the King with some friends.
  6. While I'm really happy for their new approach to bringing first party titles to PC/Steam, it makes you wonder what their plan is for hardware sales. Anyone that has a decent PC is going to pass on a Series X because there is no value in it. I think a cool concept would be the ability to stream PC only or PC versions of games to the XSX. I've enjoyed my One S for the fact that its a cheap 4k player and easy to take on trips. Transfer my Destiny account to Xbox, download some of the play anywhere titles, and take it to my parents when I go home for Christmas. Problem is all my friends are on PC for multiplayer titles like Destiny. Being able to stream the game to the XSX would be a really cool feature, even if it introduces a little lag. Biggest hurdles though is that their online store sucks and they would either have to start selling PC titles or do some partnership with Steam.
  7. Halo 2's button combos. Allowed you to pull off some truly unique clips Titanfall's movement system was really slick too
  8. I'd assume native controller support for the PC release this time.
  9. Halo I don't really have any accomplishments myself, I did compete in a few online and local tournaments, made a few montages, nothing really crazy. My friend circle has a few accomplishments though. - Rippon (CE Pro) was a frequent at our LAN parties for a short while. - 4 of the people in our friend circle teamed up and beat Team BestBuy (Rippons Pro Team) at a tournament in Idaho for Halo 2. - 1 of those 4 people ended up going to NY to compete in a Halo 3 FFA tournament. He ended up taking 4/5 (they didn't announce placements outside of the top 3). - Another 1 of those 4 took top 8/16 (I can't remember which) at an MLG FFA event for Halo 2. Those 2 probably had the best chance to join an amateur team, but it just never really played out that way. I wasn't really one of the best in the friend circle, but I wasn't one of the worst either. I hovered around the middle of the group. EDIT: I'm not half bad at DDR/ITG either. I actually tried for a while to learn SC2. Never really hooked on with me, but I appreciate the craft that went into playing the game. It was an absolute bore to watch though.
  10. I would argue that while there is technology out there that rivals or beats what is available in a movie theater, the average household wouldn't have a setup that would rival the experience. All of my evidence is purely anecdotal though, its really just my opinion. It would be hard for me to say that sitting in someones basement watching interstellar vs IMAX would even be comparable. They would indeed have to have some pretty deep pockets. Social aspect can definitely ruin the experience, most recently ruined Your Name for me, however long ago that came out. Its vastly in the minority though as most people are pretty sensible, at least around my area.
  11. Idk how to get this to embed, but yeah... https://imgur.com/a/xuSgtKf#BCDWzfO
  12. Not a huge selection of monitor in that price range that are in stock, but I'll post a couple that I can find. I've only had experience with MSI's monitors and they were okay. Personally prefer VA as it doesn't suffer from IPS glow, great for dark rooms. Worse color reproduction, sameish viewing angles, and better contrast than IPS. Some panels can suffer from ghosting though. IPS has best color reproduction, best viewing angles, most popular panel by far. TN is the worst of the 3. Most people would agree that the difference between 1ms and 5ms is negligible, but you know what you want so if its worth it to you go for it. MSI OPTIXG24C4 - 24 inch, VA panel, 144hz, curved, $179 Acer ED24QR - 24 inch, VA panel, 144hz, curved, $150 Acer VG270 - 27 inch, IPS panel, 144hz, $200 MSI OptixG241 - 24 inch, IPS panel, 144hz, $189 Lenovo D24F - 24 inch, TN panel, 144hz, $159
  13. Really depends on what you’re using this second monitor for. Didn’t seem like you needed anything special so I went for aesthetic rather than a spec sheet. It’s still a good IPS panel with an hdmi port. Are you using it for gaming, need a good color reproduction, viewing angles, need a second hdmi port? I’ve never used spectre, but 1ms means it’s a TN panel which doesn’t look as good as IPS, it also doesn’t have good viewing angles.
  14. I've always liked HP for my second monitor. Slim, small bezels, little footprint. I only use my second monitor for like watching twitch while I game or discord. https://www.amazon.com/HP-23-8-inch-Monitor-Built-24ea/dp/B01L73OEOG/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=HP+24f+Display&qid=1587797151&sr=8-4
  15. Control Metro Exodus Star Wars Battlefront 2 Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Ori and the Will of the Wisps The Messenger Doom Eternal Resident Evil 3 Final Fantasy VII Remake Wolfenstein: The New Order - Didn't pay attention to a single plot point, just wanted to kick back and shoot some nazis. Super Meat Boy - I feel spoiled by Celeste, it has a much more natural skill curve and going back to this just gets me aggravated. Relatively easy levels, then they throw in like random jumps that are exceedingly difficult. Like you'll blow through 3 levels, then die 50 times on one level, then pass another 3 easily. I was stuck on one of the later levels for probably as much time as I played this game. I didn't even bother doing the dark world or the meat girl levels. I beat the main story and put it away. Bright Memory - Very impressive for a single guy to develop in his spare time. Some weird choices in UI design like the rings around the gun (though it looks like he ditched that in the new gameplay footage), voice acting is uh.... bad. Looks great, plays great, excited to see the full game or whatever he ends up doing with it.
  16. From what little I've read, yes you do lose your chips. Though most people just reload the last save.
  17. I can easily recommend FTK to anyone as long as you have a buddy or two that will play the game with you. Its charming little game, but can be increasingly difficult. After beating the first campaign, the second one really ramps up the difficulty, I might mess with the default setting to make it not as overbearing.
  18. From what I understand its not entirely uncommon to have multiple people or other people master songs for you on soundtracks. The instagram conversation is unverified. However, VG247 had a small interview with Mick and he basically stated that he is still trying to understand the situation and isn't able to comment further. So doesn't sound like its an entirely good situation, but doesn't sound like the relationship is burned, yet...
  19. Although no one is probably anticipating it. Dead Island 2 is seemingly never going to come out
