  1. The landscape is just so so jarring. There is no cohesion or reason. It looks like a bunch of landscape pieces rammed together and places that they don’t line up they put those stupid bland hexagon pillars around it. I have no idea how anyone could look at this and be like “yeah beautiful” EDIT: Halo isn't about photo-realistic imagery, but they still have captivating landscapes Look at the level Halo, Silent Cartographer, Uprising, High Charity, Delta Halo, Sierra 117.
  2. Considering 343i admitted to polishing the crap out of this little section to get ready to show, I doubt its a 4 month old build. They are some rumors running around that its a build from January, but it just doesn't add up.
  3. Its been confirmed to be a PC build that is suppose to rival what the game would look like on XSX. Thats pretty much the whole crux of the situation. XSX being hyped up as this all powerful console, 343i developing a new engine (that is still probably based on Blam! just like Destiny), and we get something that gets outdone by current gen games. Granted sure, 30fps open world games. Who knows how much they would tweak it to get 60fps. Thats still a bad look for the new engine and for the XSX.
  4. As far as random canon fodder goes in Halo his face isn't even really that bad. Its his expression that is making people laugh. The demo did have pop in and LOD issues, but its not even that just that. The aesthetic is just bad. That entire demo looks like it was made in Halo 5's Forge mode.
  5. Had them removed when I was like 6. All I remember is they wheeled me into the room in a red wagon and I got a ton of ice cream after.
  6. I think its important to note that the beta was specifically scaled down. If I recall it was locked 720p/60fps. I also think some parts of the beta do a much better job in lightning and scenery than the full release. Mostly notable in Eden and Empire, while Truth looks much worse than full. Here is an image thread
  7. I thought the game was fun. It definitely had an interesting premise behind it, but I felt underwhelmed by the story in the end. It just never caught me. By the time the combat truly starts to shine the game is almost over, I'd honestly advise people to wait on side quests until you unlock most of the abilities so that you can have more fun with them. Graphically looks great, don't remember anything about the soundtrack.
  8. I remember that it was a small isolated room with a ground floor and some pathways up top. The boss just had a giant sword that would constantly clip through walls to kill me. There were also the little exploding guys that would run at you constantly during the encounter. PC. I remember it being challenging, but we played once, ran through 4 or 5 bosses, didn't even come close to wiping or even really having a challenge.
  9. I remember this game initially putting me off a lot because the first boss I kept fighting was really tough solo. I'm not sure if they toned things down a lot, but I started playing this with a buddy and we are literally just flying through bosses.
  10. I grew up in a no-spice house. Literally the hottest thing I had eaten until I was 27/28 was hot tamales and fireballs. Then I moved to Las Vegas and all of my coworkers pretty much forced "spicy" food down my throat. Whenever we would go eat it was always korean bbq places and they almost exclusively order spicy meat, whenever someone would make mcdonalds runs they would only get hot n spicy with cheese. Nacho cheese doritos always had tapatio mixed in with it (didn't have the tapatio version at work so we had a work around). I grew to enjoy it, but I don't handle it very well. I probably rate it a 4/10 at the highest?
  11. The reddit post I linked would be the cheapest, but I don't even know what they are really asking you to do to set it up. The bedrock server program is in early development stages so maybe in the future they might add switch compatibility? Realms is the easiest by far, but also the most expensive.
  12. Correct, Realms are paid, servers are not. I haven’t tried the bedrock (console/win10 edition) server program, but the Java edition (original PC) was pretty simple to set up in the past.
  13. 2008 My personal pick would be Dead Space Some other notable releases Gears of War 2 Lost Odyssey Lost Planet FFVII Crisis Core Battlefield Bad Company Fable II Far Cry 2 Left 4 Dead
  14. There is server hosting available for bedrock edition, however it isn't available for the switch due to "console restrictions". Well not without some tweaking https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/comments/cgzwcl/guide_to_minecraft_bedrock_dedicated_server_for/
  15. I never had a problem with 2. I enjoyed as much as the first, but iirc EA stuck there noses too deep into DS3s development and pushed the game in a horrible direction.
  16. Interesting. I found A Hat in Time to be an absolute blast while Yooka-Laylee to be an absolute bore. I didn't even get more than an hour or 2 in before I'd completely lost interest.
  17. Working night shift + coronavirus means that pretty much everything is closed while I’m awake. I’d take almost any local food at this point.
