Global crop yields to take significant hit due to multiple concurrent climate-related events

We're fucked, aren't we?

Global warming is going to also do a few extra things: Decrease Oxygen (as phytoplankton in the oceans die) and increase CO2. Combined, this will eventually make it so that humans cannot function properly as higher thought depends on CO2 being below a certain point, and Oxygen above a certain point.

So we're going to become dumber as global warming gets worse?

...this explains way too much.

The grim darkest timeline.

carbon dioxide is only .04% of the air while oxygen is 20.95%, I don't think this will really be an issue before we melt and all the other issues stemming from greenhouse gas emissions take hold.

The issue though is that CO2 only has to double for it to basically kill us all off. Humans can only take a certain PPM of CO2.

It’s bad. People don’t get it. It also greatly reduces the production of beef, pork, and chicken. And it’ll happen quick.

In addition to meat production, it will impact dairy production and fuel costs (ethanol).  This could result in some significant inflationary pressure in the broader economy.

Yeah the US is too wet, and Canada is too dry.

But hey, let's roll back and prevent carbon taxes and anti-warming efforts!

It's amazing how part of the province on fire is an inconvenience for a party to announce their repeal of the province's carbon tax. You would think people would take a hint but nah... =|

I wonder at what temperature is the human body unable to cope? 50 Celsius seems pretty hot.

With humidity, people start dying even at 30C for prolonged periods. Obviously the weaker you are (older, younger), the higher-risk you are. Heat waves still kill tens of thousands per year. We only really hear about it when it happens in Europe though, as they tend to have less AC than North America (and we don't hear a lot about the rest of the world unless it's extreme).

This is all very depressing. Soon, things will be very difficult both financially and in terms of just surviving heat and food shortages. People will likely need to plant more gardens--if they can actually yield crops--and raise their own things like chickens.

And dandies like me will perish at the thought of hard labor.
