Fox News is so much worse than MSNBC.

Fox News feels like a news channel for 10 year old racists. It’s all so fucking dumbed down.

At least MSNBC has enough respect for their audience to talk to them at an (almost) adult level.

Fox News is news for idiot simpleton halfwits.

That said, all cable news sucks.

This. It’s not even close.

They are both entirely political cheerleaders of their own party. It is just that simple. One does it with civility, the other with anger and hatred, but their goals are exactly the same. Herpes to herpes.

Comparing MSNBC to Fox News is like comparing a canker sore to genital herpes.

That time MSNBC suspended their most highly rated host because he made small dollar donations to a few House races.

And now Hannity is the White House's shadow Chief of Staff.

Trying to compare content will always be a game of whack a mole where either side brings up examples while downplaying others.

The defining difference is that Fox coordinates on political messaging with the Republican party and MSNBC does not.

It may seem like a small differentiation, but in practice there is a huge difference.

MSNBC is a dumb network, but to say it is on par with Fox News is a deeply, deeply stupid and incorrect assessment. Fox News operates as a wing of the Republican party. It's a revolving door of tv personality to politician and back. Whatever conspiracy theory the demagogues on Fox News spew will surely at some point show up on the floor of the House or Senate. Does MSNBC have that pull? Of course not. Do politicians legislate based on MSNBC? Of course not. Do politicians legislate based on the racist white supremacist trash that is Fox News? Absolutely. Watching Fox News turns one into a racist zombie.

Does anyone even watch MSNBC?? To look at both networks and equate the two is mind-boggling. You must have brain worms.

The former president of Fox news was a white house comms director, and is now with the Trump 2020 campaign.

MSNBC doesn't have that kind of pull. MSNBC doesn't have opinion hosts introduced by the president at political rallies.

You'd have to have 45 POTUS level brain worms to think they're the same because they're both garbage.

No. Regardless of one being more effective, they have the same agenda. To push their corporate owners wants onto their viewers. News stations have been political arms since cnn went 24hr in the 80’s.

Yup. It takes no thought to make a "they're both bad in the same way" point. Fox News has been an operating arm for Republicans and was made with that purpose; it recites RNC talking points with no shame that they do. It's a cult, a criticism given by Fox News employees. Its sexual harassment scandals are a result of their misogynistic culture. Their opinions change depending on what Republican leadership thinks; they went from "why don't you trust the president?" during the Bush years, to "look at these patriots questioning the president" during the Obama years. Fox News's goal has been consistent. MSNBC does whatever depending on whatever, whether it's to be the "center," to giving Alan Keyes and Pat Buchanan constant airtime, to liberal, to now having less of a bend in the afternoon but still having liberal hosts at night.

Fox News is basically, "We wish we had this when Nixon was around to get him out of that jam." To be blunt, liberals made get a hard-on being "moderate" or try-hards by saying this, but it just means they have no idea what they're talking about.

Why are people still pushing the idea that the dossier was "fundamentally false", when in fact a great majority of it has been proven to be legitimate?  If you are going to hang your hat on just the pee tape and Cohen's alleged trip to Prague (which he still denies happened), but ignore the scores of other bullet points that have been confirmed, you are in la la land.

Ignoring the impact of each one in an assessment comparing the two networks is...well it's fucking stupid. If their essential message is the same (corporate dick slurping/agenda pushing) the bigger problem should obviously be the one that reaches more viewers, has a larger impact, and is the one where the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES regularly converses with their on air pundits and live tweets their bullshit.

Right.

Greenwald and his ilk are falling into the patently absurd claim by Trump and his defenders that any investigation is illegitimate, if not illegal itself, if it does not result in a conviction.

If it needs to be pointed out, we don't know before an investigation if someone should be charged....that's what a fucking investigation is for.

Anyone who was in possession of the dossier before the election should have given it to the FBI or other authority. It was compiled by a reliable source, with claims that ran alongside suspicious behavior that the IC knew about and some that was already public knowledge at the time. It would be like saying there was a bank robbery we absolutely knew happened, but that the guy who reported seeing a car speeding away from the bank was wrong to report it.

On top of that, as you say, much of it had panned out.

Trying to paint it as some knock against Corn(or McCain for that matter) that he gave it to the FBI is ridiculous and stinks of a move to, essentially, punish anyone who dared defy the authority of the president.

It's not that he just live tweets their bullshit, he's effectively using Fox News as his daily intelligence briefing, because he doesn't read (or have it read to him) the official briefing from the intelligence agencies.  Fox knows this, and uses this to their advantage.

Like most of the absolutely shitty things in this administration, there's so many that I forgot this.

Why would the Trump campaign use Roger Stone to get info from Wikileaks if they had been colluding with them from the beginning?  Seems unnecessary

What is the context of that pic? Is Trump just standing up from a chair, or is he crouching?

I know we have had this discussion before about comparing Trump's supposed 6'3 height against guys like Jeb or Obama, but Putin is 5 frickin 7.

That's after Vlad cucked him in Helsinki.
