After 2 weeks in a row on top of the standings thewhyteboar gets knocked off by BasemntDweller2, one of only 3 players to hit on the Feature Game bet!  It's the final week of the regular season - can he hold on to the throne going into the playoffs?

 

-= WEEK 16 RESULTS =-

Feature Game: Denver Broncos (-2.5) @ Oakland Raiders

The Raiders welcomed the Broncos into their home then stole all their presents, winning outright by a score of 27-14(-2.5) on Christmas Eve. BasemntDweller2, Slug, and Keyser_Soze were the only players to call the Feature Game correctly.

 1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Broncos touchdown, Broncos field goal, Broncos safety, Raiders touchdown, Raiders field goal, or Raiders safety? ($5,000 for the correct call)

Dwayne Harris stunned the Broncos who thought they'd made a great special teams play, turning a "downed at the 1" punt into a 99 yard return for a TD. Guesses on Oakland TD get it.

 

2) Which team in the Feature Game will have the longest kick return (kickoff OR punt)? ($4,000 for the correct call)
Yeah, it was that same 99 yard punt.  Guesses on the Raiders win.

 

3) Christmas gifts to the defense: How many total interceptions will be thrown in Week 16 - over or under 26? ($4,000 for the correct answer)
19 total INTs were thrown in Week 16; well under the average and under the target mark of 26.

 

4) How many PATs will be missed this week? ($6,000 for the correct answer)
Incredibly there were 5 missed PATs in week 16.

 

5) Pick the winners ($4,000 for each correct pick, $7,000 bonus if you call all 3 correctly)

Houston @ Philadelphia
Green Bay @ N.Y. Jets

 

Biggie, RedSoxFan9 and SFLUFAN each nailed all 3 games to earn the bonus cash for the week!

 

6) OHIO!  Which team will give up more turnovers this week, the Browns or the Bengals? ($4,000 for the correct team)
There were no INTs and no fumbles lost in this contest, so we have a tie. Greatoneshere was the only player to call both teams!

 

7) Holiday blowout: Which game in Week 16 will have the biggest point differential in the final score? ($5,000 for the correct name)
The Rams trounced the Cards by a score of 31-9 for a 22 point difference, the largest of the week.

 

8) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in Week 16. ($18,000 for each player named correctly, $35,000 bonus if both names are called)
C.J. Anderson took the week 16 rushing title with 167 yards while Antonia Brown takes the receiving crown with 185.  Nobody called either player.

-= THE RULES =-

1. You make your bet and answer the questions simply by posting on the thread each week with your pick for the featured game along with your bet, followed by your answers to the prediction questions.

2. Everyone starts with $1,000. If a user doesn't start until week 3, they still start with $1,000. Your best bet it to get in early and play every week.

3. If you somehow reach $0 you are not out of the competition. You can't bet on the feature game during weeks that you are broke, but you can answer the prediction questions and hope to earn cash to gamble the following week.

4. IMPORTANT: I will set a deadline for getting your entries for the week in (usually before kick-off of that week's first game). It is imperative that you make your post before the deadline. The entry thread will be locked at the deadline so if you don't get your entry in by then you lose out on the chance to make money that week.

5. I work full time AND coach youth football AND go to school when I can AND have a near crippling gaming addiction AND probably drink too much. Responsibilities and personality flaws allowing, I will attempt to post the results and the next week's game/questions each Tuesday, as early as possible. Keep in mind though that there may be some wackiness here and there based on my schedule and hangovers. Pay attention.

6. For the official recording of stats/yardage NFL.com will be used. Whatever their site says on Tuesday morning is what counts.  No whining.

8. Accounts created within the current calendar month are not eligible to play and any entries from such accounts will not be considered.
