Week 2 is in the books and Biggie scrambles to the top of the leaderboard, being one of only 2 players to pick correctly in the Feature Game!

 

-= WEEK 2 RESULTS =-

Feature game: The Cowboys pull out a 20-13 win over the Giants, covering the 4 points.  Bets on Dallass win.  Biggie and Alpha1Cowboy were the only players to see this one coming.

 

1.What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Giants TD, Giants FG, Giants safety, Cowboys TD, Cowboys FG, Cowboys safety, or other? ($500 for the correct call)

The first score in the Feature Game was a 64 yard touchdown pass to Tavon Austin (Cowboys TD).  Nobody called this correctly.

 

2) How many turnovers (combined) will occur in the Feature Game? 0-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, or 8+ ($600 for the correct call)

They were pretty safe with the ball, eh?  Only 1 turnover in this one; an Eli fumble.  Nobody called this.

 

3) Mile High Kicking - How many total field goals (not PATs) will be made in the Oakland @ Denver game? ($700 for the correct call)

4 field goals were tallied in Denver this weekend.

 

4) Name both the highest and lowest scoring teams in Week 2. ($700 for each correct team, +$600 if you name them both)

Your scoring leader this week was Chiefs who hung 42 on the board in Pittsburgh and the lowest scoring team was the Cardinals who got completely shut out (0).  Nobody called the Chiefs, but Keyser_Soze and Alpha1Cowboy both knew Arizona was in for a bad week.

 

5) Call the winners:
Minnesota at Green Bay
Miami at NY Jets
New England at Jacksonville
($500 for EACH correctly named game winner, $1000 bonus if you call all 3 correct)

 

Results here were: a draw (everyone gets credit), Miami, and Jacksonville.  RedSoxFan9 was the only player to make the right call on Jacksonville.  Nobody earned the bonus.

 

6) Name the quarterback that will have the highest number of pass attempts in Week 2. ($700)

Roethlisberger hucked the ball 60 times to lead the League in passing attempts in week 2.  Nobody called his name.

 

7) Name the player that will score the first touchdown in the Texans @ Titans game?  Again; by "score" I mean "the guy holding the ball in the end-zone". Only call the QB if you believe the first TD will be a rushing TD by him.  Say, "nobody" if you believe there will be no TDs scored. ($800 for the correct answer)

Nobody guessed that Dane Cruikshank would get the first TD of this game, hauling in a 66 yard pass for a score.

 

8) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in week two. ($1,200 for each player named correctly, $5,000 bonus if both names are called)

Matt Breida led the field in rushing in week 2 with 138 yards while Brandin Cooks pulled in 159 through the air to take the week 2 receiving crown.  Nobody called either player.

-= THE RULES =-

1. You make your bet and answer the questions simply by posting on the thread each week with your pick for the featured game along with your bet, followed by your answers to the prediction questions.

2. Everyone starts with $1,000. If a user doesn't start until week 3, they still start with $1,000. Your best bet it to get in early and play every week.

3. If you somehow reach $0 you are not out of the competition. You can't bet on the feature game during weeks that you are broke, but you can answer the prediction questions and hope to earn cash to gamble the following week.

4. IMPORTANT: I will set a deadline for getting your entries for the week in (usually before kick-off of that week's first game). It is imperative that you make your post before the deadline. The entry thread will be locked at the deadline so if you don't get your entry in by then you lose out on the chance to make money that week.

5. I work full time AND coach youth football AND go to school when I can AND have a near crippling gaming addiction AND probably drink too much. Responsibilities and personality flaws allowing, I will attempt to post the results and the next week's game/questions each Tuesday, as early as possible. Keep in mind though that there may be some wackiness here and there based on my schedule and hangovers. Pay attention.

6. For the official recording of stats/yardage NFL.com will be used. Whatever their site says on Tuesday morning is what counts.  No whining.

7. Accounts created within the current calendar month are not eligible to play and any entries from such accounts will not be considered.
