For the second week in a row Biggie fails his bet but comes up big on the predictions, nailing the receiving leader and being the only player to get the pick 'em bonus, to hang on to the lead by a slim margin for yet another week!

 

 -= WEEK 4 RESULTS =-

Feature Game:  In a come from behind performance that further solidified Mahomes as a force at QB in the League, the Chiefs beat the Broncos by a score of 27-23; winning on the field but failing to cover the -5.  Bets on the Broncos win.  Slug and Keyser_Soze were the only players to bet on the Broncos to win with the points.

 

1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Chiefs TD, Chiefs FG, Chiefs safety, Broncos TD, Broncos FG, Broncos safety, or other? ($700 for the correct call)

The first score in the Feature Game was a 42 yard field goal by Denver. 3 players called this one.

 

2) The air up there: Which team in the Feature Game will have the most combined receiving yards? ($600 for the correct call)

The Chiefs' passing necessity in the 4th quarter put them over in receiving yards put them up 304 to Denver's 245.

 

3) Air Inferiority: Name the QB that will throw the most interceptions Week 4. ($900 for the correct name)

Allen, Beathard, Brady, Carr, Mayfield, and Winston all tied with 2 picks a piece.  Any of these names get the prize.

 

4) How many total points will be scored in the Eagles @ Titans game?  0-10, 11-24, 25-36, 37-45, or 45+ ($700 for the correct guess)

49 points were put up as the Titans took down the Eagles by a score of 23-26.  Bets on 45+ would've won this one, but apparently nobody thought it would go that high. :P

 

5) Call the winners:
Tampa Bay at Chicago
Houston at Indianapolis
Cleveland at Oakland
($600 for EACH correctly named game winner, $1400 bonus if you call all 3 correct)

Several players called various combinations of these games, but it was only Biggie that saw the correct outcome for all 3, earning the bonus.

 

6) Sunday drives: Name the team that will record the most time of possession in Week 4. ($900 for the right name)

Houston didn't want to give up the ball, holding on for 40:04 in time of possession.  Nobody called the Texans.

 

7) Road trip!  How many visiting teams will win this week? ($1,000 for the correct number)

6 visiting teams went home with the W this weekend (Chiefs, Ravens, Saints, Seahawks, Bengals and Texans). thewhyteboar, SFLUFAN and Slug each called this.

 

8) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in Week 4. ($2,000 for each player named correctly, $6,000 bonus if both names are called)

Ezekiel Elliott took the rushing title this week, rumbling along for 152 yards, while Julio Jones got open for 173 yards to lead all receivers in Week 4.  4 players (Slug, BasemntDweller2, mikechorney, and Kal-El814) called Elliott, while Biggie and RedSoxFan9 both called Jones.  Nobody earned the bonus.

-= THE RULES =-

1. You make your bet and answer the questions simply by posting on the thread each week with your pick for the featured game along with your bet, followed by your answers to the prediction questions.

2. Everyone starts with $1,000. If a user doesn't start until week 3, they still start with $1,000. Your best bet it to get in early and play every week.

3. If you somehow reach $0 you are not out of the competition. You can't bet on the feature game during weeks that you are broke, but you can answer the prediction questions and hope to earn cash to gamble the following week.

4. IMPORTANT: I will set a deadline for getting your entries for the week in (usually before kick-off of that week's first game). It is imperative that you make your post before the deadline. The entry thread will be locked at the deadline so if you don't get your entry in by then you lose out on the chance to make money that week.

5. I work full time AND coach youth football AND go to school when I can AND have a near crippling gaming addiction AND probably drink too much. Responsibilities and personality flaws allowing, I will attempt to post the results and the next week's game/questions each Tuesday, as early as possible. Keep in mind though that there may be some wackiness here and there based on my schedule and hangovers. Pay attention.

6. For the official recording of stats/yardage NFL.com will be used. Whatever their site says on Tuesday morning is what counts.  No whining.

7. Accounts created within the current calendar month are not eligible to play and any entries from such accounts will not be considered.

Washington Redskins (+7) at New Orleans Saints
(Remember you are betting against the spread, not just the outright winner)

 

QUESTIONS
1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Redskins TD, Redskins FG, Redskins safety, Saints TD, Saints FG, Saints safety, or other? ($900 for the correct call)

 

2) Monday Night Officiating: How many penalties will be recorded in the Feature Game ($1,500 for the correct call, $800 for the closest guess if nobody nails it)

 

3) Who will score the first touchdown in the Tennessee @ Buffalo game? ($900 for the correct name - And by score we mean the guy holding the ball in the end-zone; only call a QB if you believe the first TD will be a rushing TD by him).

 

4) Eating dirt - Name the QB that will be sacked the most in Week 5. ($1,000 for the correct name)

 

5) Call the winners:
Green Bay at Detroit
Baltimore at Cleveland
Denver at N.Y. Jets
($800 for EACH correctly named game winner, $1,600 bonus if you call all 3 correct)

 

6) Name the team that will score the most points in Week 5. ($1,000 for the correct team)

 

7) Name the team that will score the fewest points in Week 5. ($1,000 for the correct team)

 

8) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in Week 5. ($2,500 for each player named correctly, $7,000 bonus if both names are called)
