Despite losing on the Feature Game, Biggie makes a couple clutch calls on the weekly questions to hang on to the lead!

 

 -= WEEK 3 RESULTS =-

 

Feature Game:  The Steelers hold on to beat the Bucs by a score of 30-27, covering the -2.  Alpha1Cowboy and Slug were the only players who called it right.

 

1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? ($600 for the correct call)
Harvard to Harvard, Fitzpatrick connects with Brate on a red zone touchdown pass for the first score of the game (Bucs TD).
 
2) Over or under?  50 combined points in the Feature Game. ($500 for the correct call)
The teams combined for 57 points Monday Night; bets on the over get the cash.

 

3) Air Superiority: Name the QB that will throw for the most yards in week 3. ($800 for the correct name)
Ryan Fitzpatrick goes for 400+ 3 weeks in a row to take the passing title this week with 411 yards. Nobody saw the Fitzmagic happening 3 weeks in a row, but it did.

 

4) Name the team that will get penalized the most in Week 3 ($800 for the correct team)
The 49'ers were penalized the most in Week 3, getting flagged 14 times. Dirty cheaters. Biggie was the only player to recognize their devious ways.

 

5) Call the winners:
Green Bay at Washington
Cincinatti at Carolina
Denver at Baltimore
($500 for EACH correctly named game winner, $1200 bonus if you call all 3 correct)

 

There's no place like home?  The Redskins, Panthers, and Ravens all beat their visitors by double digits. Only 3 players called Washington, but it was SFLUFAN who called all 3 winners being the lone player to get the bonus cash for the week!

 

6) Name the kicker that will boot the longest FG in Week 3. ($800 for the right name)
Ka'imi Fairbairn got the longest field goal this week with a 53 yarder in the 3rd quarter for the Texans. Nobody called this one.

 

7) Escape from Los Angeles: Which team will rack up the most combined offensive yards (rushing and receiving) in the Chargers vs. Rams contest?  ($600 for the correct answer)
The Rams and it wasn't even close.  525 total yards of offense for the Rams and 367 for the Chargers.  Calls on the Rams win.
 
8) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in week two. ($1,500 for each player named correctly, $5,000 bonus if both names are called)
Christian McCaffery takes the rushing crown in Week 3 with 184 yards while the air title goes to Jordy Nelson who pulled in 173 yards. Biggie had a feeling about McCaffery and it paid off, being the only player to call either name correctly and allowing him to hang on to his lead.  Nobody got the bonus.

-= THE RULES =-

1. You make your bet and answer the questions simply by posting on the thread each week with your pick for the featured game along with your bet, followed by your answers to the prediction questions.

2. Everyone starts with $1,000. If a user doesn't start until week 3, they still start with $1,000. Your best bet it to get in early and play every week.

3. If you somehow reach $0 you are not out of the competition. You can't bet on the feature game during weeks that you are broke, but you can answer the prediction questions and hope to earn cash to gamble the following week.

4. IMPORTANT: I will set a deadline for getting your entries for the week in (usually before kick-off of that week's first game). It is imperative that you make your post before the deadline. The entry thread will be locked at the deadline so if you don't get your entry in by then you lose out on the chance to make money that week.

5. I work full time AND coach youth football AND go to school when I can AND have a near crippling gaming addiction AND probably drink too much. Responsibilities and personality flaws allowing, I will attempt to post the results and the next week's game/questions each Tuesday, as early as possible. Keep in mind though that there may be some wackiness here and there based on my schedule and hangovers. Pay attention.

6. For the official recording of stats/yardage NFL.com will be used. Whatever their site says on Tuesday morning is what counts.  No whining.

7. Accounts created within the current calendar month are not eligible to play and any entries from such accounts will not be considered.

(Remember you are betting against the spread, not just the outright winner)

 

QUESTIONS
1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Chiefs TD, Chiefs FG, Chiefs safety, Broncos TD, Broncos FG, Broncos safety, or other? ($700 for the correct call)

 

2) The air up there: Which team in the Feature Game will have the most combined receiving yards? ($600 for the correct call)

 

3) Air Inferiority: Name the QB that will throw the most interceptions Week 4. ($900 for the correct name)

 

4) How many total points will be scored in the Eagles @ Titans game?  0-10, 11-24, 25-36, 37-45, or 45+ ($700 for the correct guess)

 

5) Call the winners:
Tampa Bay at Chicago
Houston at Indianapolis
Cleveland at Oakland
($600 for EACH correctly named game winner, $1400 bonus if you call all 3 correct)

 

6) Sunday drives: Name the team that will record the most time of possession in Week 4. ($900 for the right name)

 

7) Road trip!  How many visiting teams will win this week? ($1,000 for the correct number)

 

8) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in Week 4. ($2,000 for each player named correctly, $6,000 bonus if both names are called)
