Some big bets and some great predictions scrambled the top half of the leaderboard pretty heavily this week!  Out of the fray comes Alpha1Cowboy who climbs to the top of the hill going into the half-way point of the regular season!
 
 -= WEEK 7 RESULTS =-

Feature Game: The Broncos trampled the Cards, blowing away the -2.5.  Bets on Denver win.

 

Questions:

1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Broncos TD, Broncos FG, Broncos safety, Cardinals TD, Cardinals FG, Cardinals safety, or other? ($1,200 for the correct call)

On a trick pitch in the first quarter, Emmanuel Sanders hits Sutton for a 28 yard TD to start off the week's scoring. (Denver TD)

 

2) Name the player that will have the most receptions in the Feature Game?  ($1,200 for the correct call)

Sanders had the most receptions with 6 on the night.

 

3) East vs. West: Which division will score the most combined points in Week 7 - The AFC East or the AFC West? ($1,000 for the right answer)
 AFC East: 81 - AFC West: 110,  Despite having the Raiders on a Bye, the West wins by 29 points.

 

4) How many total rushing yards do the Bills put up in Week 7? 0-49, 50-99, 100-149, 150-199, 200+ ($1,200 for the correct name)

The Bills collectively put up 135 yards of rushing.  100-149 gets this one.

 

5) Call the winners:
Minnesota at NY Jets
New Orleans at Baltimore
NY Giants at Atlanta
($1,000 for EACH correctly named game winner, $2,000 bonus if you call all 3 correct)
 

Easy week apparently, as more players got all 3 and earned the bonus than in any previous week!

 

6) Name any 2 teams that BOTH score FEWER than 15 points this week. Teams on a Bye don't count, smartasses. ($1,500 for the correct answer)

Any 2 of the Cardinals, Bills, Jags, 49'ers, and Bengals gets the cash here, but only mikechorney and the thewhyteboar got it right.

 

7) How many total field goals (not including PATs) will be attempted in the Rams @ 49'ers game? ($1,200 for the number)

4 field goals were attempted (and made) in this one.

 

8) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in Week 6. ($3,000 for each player named correctly, $8,000 bonus if both names are called)

Kerryon Johnson rushed ahead of all runners to the tune of 158 yards while Sterling Shepard caught 167 yards through the air to lead all receivers. Nobody called either player.

-= THE RULES =-

1. You make your bet and answer the questions simply by posting on the thread each week with your pick for the featured game along with your bet, followed by your answers to the prediction questions.

2. Everyone starts with $1,000. If a user doesn't start until week 3, they still start with $1,000. Your best bet it to get in early and play every week.

3. If you somehow reach $0 you are not out of the competition. You can't bet on the feature game during weeks that you are broke, but you can answer the prediction questions and hope to earn cash to gamble the following week.

4. IMPORTANT: I will set a deadline for getting your entries for the week in (usually before kick-off of that week's first game). It is imperative that you make your post before the deadline. The entry thread will be locked at the deadline so if you don't get your entry in by then you lose out on the chance to make money that week.

5. I work full time AND coach youth football AND go to school when I can AND have a near crippling gaming addiction AND probably drink too much. Responsibilities and personality flaws allowing, I will attempt to post the results and the next week's game/questions each Tuesday, as early as possible. Keep in mind though that there may be some wackiness here and there based on my schedule and hangovers. Pay attention.

6. For the official recording of stats/yardage NFL.com will be used. Whatever their site says on Tuesday morning is what counts.  No whining.

7. Accounts created within the current calendar month are not eligible to play and any entries from such accounts will not be considered.
