Surprised to see this as mixed on the Steam store. Though the few bad reviews I saw were exactly what I anticipated, complaints about co-op. I highly recommend this game to anyone that wants a Dark Souls lite game. Not quite as difficult, quite a bit shorter, but its got a good atmosphere, soundtrack, and good gameplay. That said if you are going into this purely for co-op you will be disappointed. You can match with friends, but thats not the intended experience (unless they've patched it since I played). The intention was to have people around the same progression as you to drop in and out to help each other or go back to the AI. Kind of how Journey worked, but the people that drop in have a much larger impact. The AI can be extremely dumb at times, which is frustrating, but the game can be solo'd without it.

I remember picking up Axiom Verge because everyone said how amazing of a metroidvania it was and while it is fun, its no where near the levels I'd place something like Super Metroid or even Ori. That said, I am looking forward to another release in the series.

I was going to say Ridley Scott. Dude has had a pretty stellar career, but there is some not so good movies in his filmography.

I will say that scan lines make retro games look amazing.

I finished "Kokoro" by Natsume Sōseki. Not sure how I really feel about it. 3/5 This will give away the ending of the book.

Thats too bad. I'm happy we are getting another Half-Life game, but I really enjoyed Firewatch and was excited to see what they would do next.

Last I heard they still have no interest in bringing Halo 5 to PC. Halo 5: Forge is probably the best you are going to get for some time.

To be fair more than half of those towns you spend a minuscule amount of time in. Midgar is by far the largest chunk of the game. Let’s be real. Even if the game is a wash it’s name alone will keep it in circulation for awhile. “Why FF7 failed” “Why I like FF7 despite its flaws” “Why FF7 isn’t as bad as you think”. Except they’ve said that this isn’t a one for one remake. They are adding new content, scenarios, conversations, bosses, etc. most remasters barley have any new content, if any at all. To criticize SE is fair. They don’t have a great track record in modern gaming. I also don’t think remaking something into a new modern trilogy(?) is setting a horrible precedent, pending they do it right. I don’t have a lot of hope for SE, but if they pull it off good for them.

I wouldn’t mind matchmaking for people that have finished the raid. It’s equally as annoying not being able to find people to do raids with you.

I tried this last year while I was in Sacramento for a month. It was.... okay. Nothing really beats milk in terms of taste or consistency. Ripple felt really thick compared to 1/2% milk. I'm sure after awhile I'd get use to it like I did with diet soda, but I just can't see using something like ripple to put in mashed potatoes or drinking a glass of it with nilla wafers or graham crackers.

It was more conjecture than anything. However, game sales are just the tip of the iceberg. Especially when competing with micro-transactions and concurrent subs. I also don't count Starcraft as current because its been rather quiet in recent years. I wouldn't even count Diablo as current if Immortal and IV hadn't been announced. Overwatch: base game sales + micro-transactions WoW: base game sales + monthly subs + micro-transactions + expansions + WoW classic subs now too Diablo: base game sales + a single expansion EDIT: apparently Diablo 3 has microtransactions, just not in EU/US

Curious as to why you didn't enjoy FEAR 2. I think it holds up very well even if the plot is a bit wonky. The third is where the series really falls apart for me. Bioshock 2 is still leagues better than Infinite from a gameplay perspective. Infinites ending is great, but worth the journey? I'd probably say no, I was bored to tears until I got to the end of the game. Highly recommend Dead Space 1 & 2. 3 shares the same fate that FEAR 3 does. A focus on co-op, bad pacing, and a loss of atmospheric horror.

Tried DuckDuckGo for a couple months. It just isn’t quite there. It gets acceptable results majority of the time, terrible results when I’m looking up something specific but don’t know exactly what it is. It’s something that google really excels at.

Considering that Diablo is the least successful series that blizzard currently has (from a profit point of view) it would make sense that they would introduce microtransactions and well as still paying for expansions. Not saying its right, but in order for Diablo to be a relevant series to Blizzard they need to bring in more cash.

Nah OoT3D isn't cheating. Its a worthy remaster of an amazing game. There a few flaws to be found which, at least in my experience, is a rare occurrence. Completely forgot about Dead Space. I'm still sad about how that turned out. Totally forgot about these. For how much I preach how much I love Hotline Miami, I'm kind of shocked I forgot it

The original diablo only had white, blue, gold I believe. Diablo 2 expands but still isn’t quite what the norm is. Green is the outlier here as a set item rather than uncommon. WoW probably is the earliest game that mirrors current “standards”
