  1. PS4 27th, Switch 29th, Xbox/PC/Utomik? 30th. Looks interesting
  2. Thats how Cascade Crash is. The only way to get it is in a 24 pack with Riptide Rush and Glacier Freeze. Neither flavor it bad, but I don't want to buy a 24 pack every time I want this flavor.
  3. Cascade Crash (gatorade) is far and away my favorite sports drink. However since I've given up sugar (or as much as I can) its really a toss up. Gatorade Zero definitely has more of a variety available which is a huge plus, but the blue & red Powerade Zero's are always good.
  4. I think its the first time I've actually ever had a book buying spree, it definitely has me excited to read them. Maybe I can actually hit my one book a month goal I set for myself if I just grind out a few more.
  5. Currently reading Stardust by Gaiman. I love the short fairy tale vibe from his books. The part where the witch turns the boy into a sheep/goat so she can have two messed me up. For whatever reason people struggling to make ends meet makes me incredibly sad and thinking about the mother just left to rot. It was a surprisingly dark tone I never got from Neverwhere or Ocean at the End of the Lane. I also went on a book buying spree. Annihilation - Jeff VanderMeer Kokoro - Natsume Soseki Graveyard Book - Gaiman 5 Centimeters Per Second - Kanoh, Arata Circe - Madeline Miller Red Sister - Mark Lawrence Excited about 5cmps mostly because Shinkai wanted it written to fill in what he felt was lacking from the movie. So it'll be cool to see that extra insight. Apparently the manga is the definitive experience despite being the last of the 3 forms of media. Never could get into comics/manga though, just not for me. Don't know if Annihilation will make any more of an impact on me than the movie did, but it interested me enough to want to know more.
  6. I started it, got to Mr. X, got stressed and stopped for the night lol. We will see how it goes
  7. You can add it, I doubt I’ll finish Leon’s story. I’ll probably do the same thing and beat it months down the road or next year when we do this again
  8. I played it on PC. I have a string of games on my desktop that I probably haven’t touched since I initially installed it. RE2 was the oldest one. So after I saw this I said “I’ve got to be close to the end, I’ll play it till I leave for my flight.” Literally played like 12 minutes and beat Claire’s story and started laughing because I had no idea I was so close. I’ve never beaten a RE game, RE4 was probably the closest one I’ve gotten to beating (about halfway) so I have no idea on length of the games. I might start Leon’s story when I get back home.
  9. Does RE2make count? I bought it on release and played it for week and straight and stopped up until now. Then I saw this post and decided to finish it. Turns out I was less than 20 minutes from finishing Claire’s story.
  10. I know this is a joke, but the popular theory at this point (last I checked) is that the Cortana we are dealing with is only a piece of the actual Cortana. One of the splits that she did to help defeat the Didact at the end of Halo 4.
  11. Reminds me of Odin Sphere or Muramasa: The Demon Blade. Never beat either of them, but they are beautiful games.
  12. Nothing Halo brought to the table was originated by them, but they did popularize them. They standardized a control scheme, regenerating health, 2 gun system, dedicated grenade/melee button. This was a revolutionary game to consoles and FPS titles on console. I'm not going to say that comparing Halo to PC titles is "unfair", but I feel like you're missing the point by comparing it to those. I think everyone (or really anyone that takes a second to think about it) recognizes that if Halo had released as a PC game it wouldn't be the "revolutionary" game it is. I don't think you will feel any differently about it now. Its still pretty mild compared to those old games and even newer games like Doom 2016.
  13. Honestly unless you are in love with the Netflix dub, you may as well just find the reddit thread of the Japanese blurays with english dub's added in.
  14. It wouldn't surprise me if Netflix only has the streaming rights and nothing else.
  15. Doom 3 is a large departure from the series. Slower paced combat, horrorish moments, dark environments. Its a game I wanted to like, but it just doesn't really do a good job in any one specific area. The combat isn't overly exciting or tense. Horror is probably the wrong word, but they were trying to give it that kind of atmosphere to the game. Nothing is ever really scary. I can't even remember what the premise of the game is, but if any of the other Doom games are an indication it probably wasn't anything to write home about. Dead Space, Evil Within, Alien Isolation, RE2make, FEAR are all games I would highly recommend over Doom 3 if you want something that I think they were trying to shoot for. If you want a DOOM game, get DOOM 2016 and Eternal is out soon.
  16. It was on the front page when I logged in. FLASHFIVE was my coupon, but the slickdeals page says that its for select customers https://slickdeals.net/coupons/ebay/?couponid=2545399
  17. I think a lot of it boils down to timing and its offerings. Halo really took the bar of console shooters and put it on an entirely different pedestal. Halo was pretty open for its time while looking at things like Perfect Dark/Goldeneye were really tight corridors. Couch co-op/multiplayer and LAN parties became really easy too. Xbox's were really easy to lug around and most people had at least a couple TV's hanging around in their house. Halo 2 launched with Xbox Live and really started making a case for online gaming with consoles. Halo 3 was just took everything in Halo 2, expanded upon it and included a really robust level editor.
  18. I bought the Evil Within series yesterday and man. The original is rough on PC, its settings menu is jank. The game controls alright, but I might plug in a controller and see if it feels any better. If not I'll probably just watch a summary of the game and jump into EW2. EW2 is a resource hog or something. High settings with a couple toned down/turn off (screw you film grain) and I'm only hitting 70-80 fps on 1440p.
  19. Can vouch for this series. Could not put this series down as soon as I picked it up, I spent all of my free time reading because of how fascinated I was by his writing. Though its a little odd that his spinoff book about Auri was an absolute bore. I couldn't bring myself to finish it.
  20. This thread just reminds me that Kingkiller will never get finished.
  21. Yeah. I guess it does have the worst Legendary difficulty in the series.
