  3. As we know from the WSJ article about Switch 4K existence, some more rumors have dropped It’s a long video so here are the bigger points: - No longer sounds like a Switch Pro but a Switch 2/Switch 4k based on what was learned, it all depends on how the marketing presents the product - 4k will be achieved through DLSS - Big publishers/developers got the devkits late 2020 with smaller ones getting them this year - Dataminers have suggested that the Switch 4k/Succ will have challenges with being natively backwards compatible because of hardware differences, but MVG suggests Nintendo has options to pursue backwards compatibility. - Devs are working on exclusives, some PS/Xbox ports - Devs are targeting their games being "done" by late 2022, but a game being done doesn't necessarily mean thats when it releases for various reasons. - Hears it will release within Holiday 2022 - Early 2023 period, within those 6 months (supply constraints make it hard to know exactly when it is possible, meaning could miss holiday season) No BC would be a big oomph for me since I have a stupidly large Switch library. I think it will happen but it is Nintendo so who knows. With the Deck releasing, I thought I was finally free of Nintendo but nope. I can’t quit ya bud.
  4. Nintendo Announces Nintendo Switch (OLED model) With a Vibrant 7-inch OLED Screen, Launching Oct. 8 WWW.BUSINESSWIRE.COM On Oct. 8, Nintendo Switch (OLED model) will launch at a suggested retail price of $349.99.
  5. Have a home system that has an HDMI dongle for streaming to a TV with no need to dock, same hybrid concept but… …all games can be streamed online to any device at a locked resolution, with the home console being the only way to access 4K. Similar approach to gamepass with the option of buying games individually or with Nintendo Online that has a range of games available via rotation (classic and new). To continue the Nintendo money train, only Nintendo authorised controllers will pair with devices. That way, they can build a Nintendo eco-system, continue to use streaming to allow users to play PS5/Xbox ports but still churn out exclusives and have a need for a home console.
  6. Thoughts? Need a good handheld Switch game and it's between this or Actraiser

  10. So I was playing Story of Seasons on my PC, and my daughter kept telling me she wanted to play it. I head on over to the store on her Switch and notice she can just... download and play the game for a week? And it's not a demo, but a trial? Since when? Excuse her disgusting screen, I didn't feel like extracting a screenshot from it via Nintendo's arcane methods, and I ain't cleaning whatever's on there, don't want to catch some horrible disease. Anyway, when was this added? This is actually an awesome idea. Obviously it's not for every game, looks like they're using this combined with a sale to boost copies sold, which to me is genius. Of course we've seen this for years on Steam, but from Nintendo this is like them going from 1845 internet to 2012 internet, quite a monumental step and one I appreciate.

Look where we find ourselves yet again. For years, you’ve tried to get Nintendo to re-release Earthbound, and, once more, they’ve callously spurned your pleas without a second thought. Time and again, your peaceful means of bringing about an updated version of the 1995 cult classic have…
