Tangentially related...how SHOULD a school deal with a child like that? From the sounds of it, this kid has some sort of disability and is regularly obstinate to an extreme degree. I feel bad for the school staff, they don't seem to know what to do besides exercise some extreme patience and the kid is still defiant the entire time.

They should have professionals on staff who know and can deal with children with disabilities.

But like everything else in this country, people with disabilities who lose control get the brunt of force of the state instead of help they need.

Notice how multiple other black guys on the train are worried about what's going on when the cops aren't there for them.

Also, in NYC illegally parking (e.g. not paying your meter) is a smaller fine than fare dodging AND doesn't get you arrested.

Clearly the solution is to make illegal parking just as serious a fare evasion

I somehow doubt it was over that. And to be fair, their contract was up, they weren't fired, they just weren't renewed/

If they really told her that her hairstyles are too black though, thats fucked.

Hough seems to deny it:

Two insiders familiar with the set said Hough had received consistent criticism on hair, makeup and wardrobe, which impacted her morale and led to tensions. Hough denied this in a statement to Variety as not accurate to her experience.

And it is something that the cop put in their mobile app name, because the Starbucks POS system has a filter for slurs and swears and stuff like that

Well, then maybe this is true...

This should go in the hero cop thread. If this is what happened, I'm going to rank this right there with the cop that demanded an investigation on McDonald's because he forgot he took a bite out of his burger.
