Decided to turn my 3rd character into the best Crucible Knight he could possibly be. Love the drip!

i started my second character with a bleed build and I already have like 3 different builds I’m thinking about. Which is going to be a problem with how big the game is. Though subsequent runs always get faster as you get more familiar with the game.

I feel like I've hit a wall. I just got to the capital and it feels like the difficulty is starting to ramp up (or I've finally just killed the pushover bosses and got to the real ones).

I actually took a break and went back to Dark Souls, since I never got far in those games. I am making more progress than I ever had, but damn Elden Ring can spoil a bitch. Hopefully going back to ER after a while will feel like easy mode.

Everything prior to Lyndell was just the tutorial for the boss rush.

Might just be how leveled up I was by the time I got there, but I thought Lyndell itself was reasonably easy. And had the easiest “main boss” in the whole game since I just one shotted him, and it was ME doing it.

After that is when the game seemed to spike for me.

What did you have to accomplish to get the credits to roll?

Become the Elden Lord, of course!

I don’t know if you were looking for something more specific than “beat the game”. Once you get to the Capital and beat the main boss there, there’s a pretty direct path to follow to the end game.

I assume most of that list happens pretty quick? I’m 80 hours in and I’ve done two of those things haha

120 hours in and I've done three I think :p

The last 4 or so main bosses are pretty much all back to back right at the end.

Im playing this game slow, but thoroughly enjoying it. I think im about 72-75hrs in.

I think im lvl 105 and I got my astrologer to 60 INT and running the moonviel katana at +9. Have my mimic tear at +7. Also using the meteorite staff in my left hand for range. I feel really beastly. I like to agro stuff with lorettas greatbow and then just destroy them with transient moonlight.

Ive cleared out almost everything in Limgrave, Lake, Plateau. Killed Radahn and did the stuff after that.

im now in the Capital and I think Ive done a whole bunch here but def not all of it.

Spoiler

Killed Godfrey, The First Elden Lord

I know theres some underground stuff here but havent found the entrance. Im going to continue to explore before I move on.

Oh ok I fought those, they didn’t seem to bother me much.

They aren't incredibly hard but the blight buildup you have to watch out for. Somehow it spat at me and I got like stunlocked inside the spit and died. :|

The major complaint that I'm saying is so much DOT build up / instadeath buildup.

Yeah I’m not a fan of build up in general. Or poison or effects in general. I don’t like fighting against mist clouds or having to have a certain item or Im fucked. Though at least this game I was able to have an incarnation that would cure me pretty easily without having to stick up on stuff.

Oh yeah and the instadeath buildup like those fucking Gargoyles with poison sucks ya.

I never did beat boss wormface on my first run, that curse buildup bullshit was just too much and I just didn't have enough dps to kill it quickly.

Last night I double dipped and got the PS5 version to do other builds on....Oh well it's only one of my favorite games of all time might as well play the shit out of it and get the 1000/1000 and the platinum if I can.

Probably starting a strength build soon but I need to try a caster build too. So many builds, not enough time.

He's not too hard. Fight him on a horse and summon something and he's actually easier than the normal ones.

Question on my +9 moonviel katana. Im currently at 60 INT. Im not sure what the cap is, but i stopped leveling at 60.

the katana scales with dex also, but I only have 20 points in dex right now. If i start adding points to dex will the damage increase? Or does it chose the higher of the 2 attributes?
